I'm going to mark this under a problem. 

So I got it in my head to start doing some PVP'ing.  The kind that'll irk some people.

Found myself a .5 robber barron and decided to cleanse it.  Well it tells me that it'll take a whopping 2303h 59m 57s.  It takes 260 hours to install it but 2,300 to disinfect it?  No wonder no one worries about changing the IP on their baron servers. 

Guess that will never work out.

they may not IP change but if they were not very smart and left some bw u could upload spyware

I've done that and had that done to me...

But it's more of an annoyance than actually destroying the virus.

I always check all my servers before each collect just to make sure that I haven't had one installed on my machines.  It has happened several times, including a nice batch of 4 on one server just in the last few days, but so far no one has taken any of my HPD.

I have been able to take a few HPD from other servers this way though. 

   
2303 hour = 95.9583333 days

that is fairly ridiculous, actually, like 3 months

yeah cleaning or breaking a Robber Baron is absolutely useless! Either process takes months to perform, cleaning imnsho should at least be 'resonable'. You need like a v20 RB AV to clean a v0.1 RB in a decent time (I may be and have been know to exaggerate!)

it wouldnt make a diffrence as long as the av is higher it wil take the same amout of time as an av of the same lvl as the virii.

He said in his not so honest opinion it SHOULD be that way, not that it is that way. Which is a good point really, it should work like that so it's at least possible, but then you'd get someone who'd research it to like v200 and go around nuked everyones barons in hours D

baron/baron anti-virus ability would be nice 8D

It's an attempt at preventing the harassment of newbies by making the AV time consistent with the virus version rather than relative to the relationship between the AV and virus versions.

would not want to see that noob put a v10 ad ware only to see it disappear in 10 seconds by a v500 av...

LOL yeah I tried that too already. Pointless It really should have a different capture/clean rate than other virii. At least reasonable.. I can understand if it was a week or even two.. but over a yr?? WTF! FAIL!

We have yet to have an entire round last more than a few months.

yeah the first 2 were about 6 months and this one is currently at 6 so... its no longer

I really don't want a reset for at least another month or two
But people tell me we should be safe, I didnt notice it takes like 3 weeks to install a high Rev  :laugh:
