Title: Enhancements to the Research Page
Post by: HJ® on July 07, 2008, 08:42:37 PM
*topic title robbed from sovietpride

I think that on the research page it should not only let you research, but let you see what you're currently researching, the time left, and how long you've been researching it for...This allows for better financial planning and a little bit of relief from your hectic gateway.

can you program HTML? no? then go to HTML dog and learn a little, then msg me the results................... THEN you'll truly understand how massive the programming for games is! (even though they have easy to use templates >.>)

Actually I can program HTML. And CSS. And C++.

Programming for games is a little harder. There wouldnt be a suggestions board if they didnt want them though.

yes, actually it is, it's absolutely horrid, i've seen some examples, and my friends (big time software nerds.........) have complained about it to no end, however it's also one of the most efficient (and picky) programming langs to date

The only people who talk down about C and C++ are those who learned how to program using Visual crap.  C and C++ are the fastest languages around to program in.  And if you are smart you will use modules so that it saves you time in other programs.

Yes C and C++ require a bit more work to begin with but when all is said and done you will have a faster more efficient program.

To this day some of the best programs out there were written back in the days of DOS IMO.

Actually I can program HTML. And CSS. And C++.

Add PHP to this list.
I support this request and am actually of the opinion it should be quite easy todo.
We can't do it ourselves since I don't have any code it has to be build in. But of course making the game open source also gives room for cheaters which is the concern of even the largest companies around the globe.
