Title: ability to 'isolate' tasks
Post by: death 2 all on March 01, 2009, 08:28:47 AM
the ability to 'isolate' tasks (did not know what else to call it lol), thus using less resources, however taking longer to complete. therefore more missions could be being done at the same time. and, do it the other way around, which only works for local host tasks, whereby a task uses more resources than normal, and is therefore completed faster. :Rate--comment:  :update:

No. Among all the suggestions about getting deletiontimes faster this is the best idea but no. This means people with more hardware can do missions faster giving a disadvantage to the newbies. Just as all the other suggestions.

in case you did not notice, the missions are remote deletion tasks, and as such could not be sped up by this, only slowed down....
...and, do it the other way around, which only works for local host tasks..

Probably should increase HPD/AP cost as well if applied to research as that is a localhost task.

why should you up ap and hpd cost if it takes more time to complete?

Meant for the speeding up localhost tasks part.  For slowing it down it should decrease HPD/AP cost.  Could provide an interesting dynamic with research...
