I'd like to take a moment to thank you Sir Emi.......you've done a wonderful job of killing all my(and many others i'm sure) hard work by instituting this update and shoving it right up our A_ _ ' es and breaking it off without the benefit of any lube. If your so hell bent on making these radical changes way after the game has started killing anyones hopes of building up and making themselves a force in this game then just start a HP2 game and leave this one the hell alone and return it to it's former glory.

I'm just really glad I finished my research project before this went into effect, and now really pissed that I didn't do some more research while that research was entirely feasible...

well Araeus , im so glad that it worked out for u but to bad it didnt work
out for alot of ppl.. i was in the process of researching a pw def 1500...
over 300? maybe more research tasks starting from 1000 hours
and its down to 651 hours.. to bad it wont be completed..
i have more tasks running that finish sooner and wont be
completed either

yep.. 3 finished just a few minutes ago and was only
able to actually complete "1"..... 700 more research
tasks still running and holy:

load average 157,784,001/921,250 Mhz CPU 17127%, 7,890,397,384/56,757,248 Kb Mem

yea nice work EMI

Yeah, you're giving about the same reports as most other people I've seen.

I sucks because now I don't even want to start researching something else...

It takes about a week worth of research to go up a version (167 hours gets you 1.002 version worth of increase) so a month's worth of research will only get you an increase of four version levels or so.  That is why everyone did all the parallel research (duh) and this update pretty much makes parallel researching impossible... or extremely costly...

This would've been nice with the start of a new round, but as of right now it makes researching pointless. I always thought it funny that instead of researching a higher version copy, it's much faster and only slightly costlier to start from a .1

actually this seems less like a update an more of a bugfix.
it sounds logical that system requirements should increase as the software does.
maybe it was an accident on his part that he intended to fix.
either way it was illogical that he would change it in such a delicate situation

That may be Emi's only real "crime." Bad timing.
