My positions on missions against a Hacker: I WILL NOT hack your system and destroy your files. I WILL NOT remove your ad-ware from a server. Your spy ware is another matter. I WILL NOT hack into your system and end your research, or your missions. Thank you for your time. Enjoy the game.  |

I think it is just stupid to hack others since you really do not get much of anything from it unless it is getting newer versions of software..

that is what I meen, I think it is stupid to hack people and stop what they are doing, that is why I have a lot of my programs set as public so people do not have to hack me to get my programs

Ahem.
The reason why the strong hack the weak is because the weak take the missions which belong to the strong 1k+
For example, i will admit i cancel some people's processes as these are people with 0.1 v and DIRECT CONNECT to their target in competition with me.
HArsh? perhaps. I leave a message saying not to though.
Now, i tend to allow it to go to timer if they bounced well.
After all, its all fair and well if they finish 5 minutes before me but i complete it faster =P

This is a very good idea, Rothum.
I accept most of the code, with the following exceptions:
- I might kill your missions if you are about to delete a file I need to download or if we are competing for missions above 300 HPD.
- I might remove your adware from a server if it prevents me from installing my own adware or if your adware is a mission target.
- I retain the right to do anything to you if you deliberately deal damage to me or my friends.
Summarized: I will not do damage to you as long as you avoid to violate my interests too badly, and when I have to intervene, I will keep the damage limited to the absolute minimum (i.e., only killing the process we're competing for).

I think thats completely acceptable exeptions. This game does demand of us that we uses virii and/or missions to gain HPD. And to retaliate is the right of every living being even if it dont is written in the law. But to keep RL things to a peachfull level retaliation isnt a good idea.

Yes, all of these points are all true.
BUT, it's not my case, AND I got all of my 0.1 programs deleted.
I started 2 days ago, have earned at maximum 800HPD with voting and 4HPD-like missions.
Where's the fun now?

When all of the get-along gang are running v.5,are they going to be satisfied with the " I wont harm PC Gates" Manifesto?-I doubt it. People in power dont stay in power by giving it to others. Youll see-when theres no enemy,friends turn on each other.
