Well then do me this Donn....explain to me exactally what you mean when you call someone a free rider so I can better understand. thanks
Many of you have most likely encountered a "free rider" in your lifetimes. Maybe your experience has been with housemates letting their dirty dishes pile so high that you lose kitchenette privileges, until one brave housemate takes down the 25 Easy Mac-encrusted, two-week-old plates to the main house kitchen. Or, maybe your experience has been witnessing a frustrated neighbor finally call the local town ordinance about fixing up the public school's playground. Whatever the situation may be, the people who casually sat back and waited for someone else to take action wholeheartedly earn the title of "free riders." Their mentality is that problem X will become so unbearable to live with that some person in direct contact with problem X will finally take action. In theory, the problem will eventually get solved, even if it is hours, weeks or centuries later.
This mentality might be excusable when it comes to smelly dishes or broken-down playgrounds, but it certainly should not carry over into the world arena. Unfortunately, the "free rider" mentality is one right in front of our eyes and no, not just outside of our homes or our dorms. Darfur, Palestine, Burma, Rwanda and Tibet all serve as perfect examples of the world expecting someone else to just "take care of it." Of course everyone says, "Oh, genocide? Terrible. Forced occupation and no right of return? Despicable!" Despite the rhetoric, nothing is taken care of. What is it about the need for collective action in times of genocide, ethnic and religious persecution and occupation that has the entire world population completely stumped?
You complain about no PVP in the game and about mistakes that Emi has made. We can all easily make this game a lot more interesting. Yet you and many others decide to leave that to other people. You are enjoying this game but do not care about the game itself. You could make some effort to attract more players to the game. That would probably make Emi realize that this game isn't dead yet (like you think it is) but is indeed very much alive and needs some updates and fast!
At the moment, always the same people complain about the game. Imagine we have 100 new people playing the game and they would all start whining also. Forum activity +200% lol.
I have mailed several new people playing the game with a welcome message and offered to help them. A while ago me and HJ were planning to advertise the game a bit more but due to my exams, that has been slacking.. Sorry about that HJ!
You complain about the fact that there is no PVP and at the same time you help killing the PVP by using all sorts of tricks to make sure nobody does PVP against you..
You my friend, are a free rider. Just like many other people in here who just complain but don't do anything about it and even help kill the game.
I am not talking about Ebolla, HJ, Exousia, other people in here who have complained too but have already done enough to help this game get better. So guys, do not think because you whine on the forum that I'm saying you're a free rider.
Btw, Ginjitsu.. Although we aren't exactly good friends at the moment, I'd like to hear your new plans with that Revelation. Cause I don't like to see it being researched..
