Title: OS/root/sock virus for private
Post by: bontrose on July 16, 2010, 04:54:19 PM
being able to install a OS/root/sock virus on a private server, you would need to research it(1+ hrs). format it to an ip(25 hrs), transfer it, install it(75 hrs), let it sit(countdown and alert), and then it would blow the private/public/group server

the OS/root/sock virus self destructs a server yes?
a OS/root/sock virus for a private server would kill that server yes?

too powerful... the sock only works for specific mission server... but some other ways to cripple a private server beside malware may be interesting

DNS Block - Remote activation process that prevents a target from changins it's IP for the duration of effect. 168 hours attack power for 10 minutes of IP blocking? Can only run one process of this type on remote host...

I actually agree with bontrose. I think it is a bad idea entirely.

not entirely, but it should be stronger 42 days for 1 hour is a bad trade off, but there should be a limit,

say 24 hrs charge is 10 min attack with a limit of

5 hrs attack maximum followed by 2 hrs where they can't get hit by an attack maximum

it works in all spots
40% of attack time after attack user is protected like so

5 hrs----------2 hrs
3 hrs----------1 hr 12 min
1 hr-----------24 min
30 min--------12 min
15 min--------6 min
5 min----------2 min
1 min----------24 sec

You do know 168 hours is 7 days?
yes 168 hrs is 7 days
but my 1008 hrs = 42 hrs
6x the attack time = 6x the charge
