Yes, if you initiate a download on a "PUBLIC FTP READ ONLY" file, it will have no traces to your direct connection. This is basically a newbie kind of protection, you just connect, access "Public FTP" and click download to your heart's content. But be careful, other players may set some files to public and if you start a download of that file your download will show in the server "Running Software" What software is read only? - It's the software with 0.1 version in the public severs - It's the Firewall / Password Protect with 0.11, 0.12, 0.13 ..... etc on the secret servers Title: Re: Public readonly file downloads Post by: Andreas on July 05, 2008, 07:32:45 AM Thats good. Well you'll just have to find that out for yourself, what I can tell you is that new secret servers are advancing in version as the players influence the mega-corporations, so it always changes...
