I also have a report from a new player that the game wont let them do missions because they're out of newbie protection or something?

They already have a large file then?  1 million was the check for Public missions.  I think Newbie protecting got removed, but the 1 million still applies for public missions.

Tried several things to figure out what I did to cause it but have not been able to repeat the bug.

That would be wicked Alpha.  It really sucks when they got like 5 CPU, 5 memory, 5 hd (you get the point) and 50,000 BW and you are only damaging the BW anyways....

My guess is it originally was set for 30 results and this is a hangover from that.
