So are these numbers the install times or disinfect times?

I'm fine with them as install times (BTW nice formula).  Disinfect times are what I'm worried about.  Even though it'll hurt me just as much as everyone else, I want to make sure that even a 30+ version doesn't turn into a 50+ hour disinfect. 

How about something along the lines of your numbers * .8 to get the disinfect time.  Disinfects are quicker than installs, but would allow room to grow with the install time.

Your comment before of million BW server farms scares me.  Robber barons scared me until SirEmi implemented the 5 hours per .1 change.  What I don't like is unbreakable positions.

I also want to make sure that virii no longer use up the servers BW.  I want to make sure that someone can come in and start stealing files, uploading virii (to fight with their revenue stream, or spyware to steal it) and such.  BW locked servers are no fun.

Disinfect... I thought we agreed on 2 hours per .1 fileshare and 2 per 1.0 of adware? That is why I tried to keep with 1 hour per .1 file share and 1 hour per adware for disinfects.

It took me a while to do those formulas and those charts. Well considering a v30 file share would take 600 hours to install it would have about a 37 hour disinfect time. A v30 adware look on the chart it is not 50+ hours it is somewhere between 10 to 16 hours.

Well I am trying to implement it in semi-large chucks since my last Virii Bandwidth suggestion only you and I posted in. I think adding a poll helps that way you can vote but do not have to post.

OK I have been thinking. To make this update more balanced I think that .1 file share will take 2 hours to install like now but v2 adware will take 2 hours to install so that the income between file share and adware will be equal. .1 Baron will take 20 hours for income equalization.

Because .1 file share earn 60 HPD per hour and V2 adware also earn 60 HPD per hour (3*20) and baron earn 1200 HPD per hour so 1200/60 = 20.

I think I am going to have to redo the function for file share and adware and come up of one for barons. I am going to make them all natural logarithmic functions.

Alright these are the new disinfect functions I came up with.

Adware is y= .91ln(x+1)
File share is y= 11ln(x+1)
Barons is y= 105ln(x+1)

Ill edit this post with a cool ascii time chart for each when I feel like it.
