Well, time to pay the piper I spose. Shame I can't afford the next dance. Just checked in to see how the fight was going and it seems that the dynasty ends today. Have fun everyone, I'm off to Warhammer. At least the creators of that game don't implement tools to allow others to undo everything you've done.

Edit: Gotta love typos.
18  General Category / HP History / Re: Zombie-Fest. V1 Rev out, start activation of revelations. on: November 26, 2008, 09:36:47 AM
Hey HJ. Remember the first time we ran into each other? Had the hour long process killing standoff? Think the game will ever be that fun again, or is it gonna end up being the race to Revelation? Honestly, I think prizes are going to make it less likely to be the former. I'll give the reset a try, only because it's something new and I'm already paid in. I DO long for the old days however. *sigh* Here's hoping Emi has some new stuff for the reset.

In retrospect, I spent too much time complaining and not enough time doing.
19  General Category / HP History / Re: Zombie-Fest. V1 Rev out, start activation of revelations. on: November 25, 2008, 08:29:12 PM
So it's a group of people? If not, I'm more confused, hehe.
20  General Category / HP History / Re: Zombie-Fest. V1 Rev out, start activation of revelations. on: November 25, 2008, 08:20:24 PM
Now I'm confused. Zombie now claims that he isn't Misfit, but supported the post saying he was.

Truth:
I am HZT.
I did not research the v1 rev.
I want rev to be installed and restart the match. I have wanted this since the first day I played.
I will likely not be playing soon.
I have seen the degradation of this game as emi continues to ignore the public.

Lies:
Jack's message, yes I manufactured it.
Not botting, yes I made a bot for HP. It has been running the past two months.
It does the following automatically for me:

Collects all missions from all secret servers I know
Gets new secret servers from missions I have and adds them to DB
Completes any missions I did not do but are listed in missions as "file deleted"
Starts new deletion missions with following actions:
Connects to random IP if bounce count is 0
Modifies logs to show login from random secret server in DB
Connects to target IP and modifies logs
  Performs all available deletions
Disconnects if bonuce count = 5
Completes missions I have running using same method as above.
Provides me a listing of all secret servers I know of, their IP, whether I have admin, their defense level
Automatically reruns above tasks at 5 minute intervals
Newest features:
  Bypasses research "update" overload
Found a new way to get -x% CPU and -x% Mem. Where x is whatever number I feel like it being. Ask the right people, my server was at -24k% CPU at one point.  That's %, not CPU.

Plea:
Listen to the public. Fix their game and I can help you fix these holes, plus others not mentioned. Or...ban me and continue to let the holes be there and the public suffer.

I am C/Cing this message to the SI forum where I am active. Look for me there. 1

Above post is true.

So which is it? Cause either way your a liar.

21  General Category / HP History / Re: Hall Of Congratulations on: November 21, 2008, 10:15:06 PM
Congratulations to everyone who stuck by the downward spiral since its inception. After much thought, I came to the conclusion it was only fair to give those involved for so long the recognition they deserve, despite the attempts to make the game appeal to customers.
Many of us have paid for Gold accounts ( which back then, was worth something), and the feeling of near betrayal with some of the constraining updates have made a good portion of the Gold accounts unwilling to spend more. Coupled with the near uselessness of owning a Gold account nowadays, I don't believe the game will ever have that amount of income again.
As a player of several browser-based games, I understand the need to "balance" gameplay to be enjoyable by all, but limiting the amount of playable time through actions ( AP ) is the wrong way to achieve it. Logging in everyday, hitting Collect All and completing/starting research hardly sounds worth paying for.
That been said, I think the game is being shut down. No income= no maintenence.

Oh, and Eternal Maintenence + Revelation Virus counter= Guaranteed reset.

After spending a few days poking around here and there, and monitoring a Rev .1 that someone seems to want there, I've come to the conclusion that the people responsible ARE high ranked people, but using alternate accounts. Some of the old styles I used to see are prevelant on some low ranking servers, and there is definate cooperation between them. They seem excessively adept at timing, and making sure that the host systems have no logs prior to public release.
I do however, think that they aren't as dedicated to a reset as others outside of their control are. I think someone(s) outside the group is trying to force their hand, which has delayed progress. You won't find any evidence up near the top of the rankings-It's all on alternate accounts.
As far as forum accounts go, don't believe anything you can't see in-game. It's all heresay here, and some people have a handful of forum accounts. Keep in mind however, that a forum account could be created to bait your enemy into an awkward position, to give away information under false pretenses.

Enough from me and my two cents, back to hittin' the streams.

I'll have to run an Ident on the space hog that's on here. It's the only thing preventing installation I think. Although I think this popped up just recently, because I've been to this one before and it wasn't there. The space hog might just be there as a temporary cork, disinfect- then install. Could be a setup to get others to do it. Either way, if someone disinfects, theyll have roughly 280 hours to install it.
24  General Category / HP History / Re: SoTL shows their true colors on: October 29, 2008, 11:19:08 AM
Yeah, and I could spend that time brushing up on my horrible English translations. Either you people want help or you don't. I get paid either way.
25  General Category / HP History / Re: SoTL shows their true colors on: October 29, 2008, 11:14:19 AM
I'm working on deleting another instance of the Rev. on a TL server. Man these things are huge. 333 hours to kill one off, yikes.

I like that one Seb, kinda like doing multiple missions to put together an IP? Jijsaw puzzle, hehe.
27  General Category / HP History / Re: Sons of Technological Liberty on: October 27, 2008, 03:46:31 PM
That was the drjzeb one, I believe. I too, saw it at zero last night, but have no clue what's going on now.
28  Feedback Terminal / Suggestions / Re: reward types on: October 27, 2008, 03:33:55 PM
A "mask" that prevents you from showing up on "anti-hacker" missions for a set time.

The ability to auto-delete and spawn a new file type, different than the old one. ( I just wan't to see a way to get rid of all the stale Log Deleters and UnDeleters)

Auto Log deletions. For x amount of hours, hiring company would auto delete or modify logs involving your IP with a v.1 Deleter.

I'll think of more, just gimme time, hehe.

Better late than never I guess, even though I've been saying there needs to be something to slow research down for like a hundred years.
