Hello all! I think it's a common problem and someone might have the answer. I want to make a Adware Spam Daemon which, installed, uses 5kbps of BW. How much time I have to research a 0.1 version to get this? Taking the oportunity, I would like to suggest some place in game where the equations of resource consuming stay available. Thanks!

5/30 = .1666...
.166*30 = 4.98
.166-.1 =.066
.066/.006 = 11
research for 11 hours

Thanks for the answer, but... what's the equation?

btw, wich do you want to find? the amount of hours it takes?
h=[(K/30)-.1]/.006 where h= hours, and K = kb/s
how many hours will get you to a specific kbs?
K= [(H*.006)+.1]*30
or something else?

In real it is 11.1111111111111111111111..........
That is why it only reaches 4.98 Kbs.

yeah, since it goes up by increments of .006, I was just going to the nearest increment.

That's what I was talking about! I think it could be useful these equations (and the other ones I didn't wrote) to be fixed somewhere.

Well, that's what these forums are for. The equation is a simple one to figure out as well.

most likely because he thinks if we are playing this game, we should be smart enough to figure them out ourselves...

Most of the formula's have been released on the forums.
As for research well you just have to play a bit. You know research goes up in .006 increments. So if you want to research something find the LOWEST version possible to give you the exact Version you want at completion. Figure out how many hours. Look at how much the item uses in resources.
Ah what the hell. I will do a how-to on the SGP forums on my day off for figuring out all this stuff along with posting the CSV of the game data for the software. With that and some spread sheet work you will have your own spreadsheet like Crl and I each have. We have different ones mind you since I use Open Office and he uses Microsh!t ;)

Sorry that I have searched through the forum but found nothing about this, I would like to calculate the credit it generates every hour. In http://www.hacker-project.com/forum/index.php?topic=57.0 they said that "Installed Adware generates 3 credits per hour per version". Is that every 0.006 increase it it a new version, or 1.0 to 2.0 counted as 1 version?

Adware gives 1HPD/hour/KB I mean, if your adware takes 3kb, it'll give you 3hpd per hour.

If 0.1 gives 3/h then double the version would generate double the HPD. 0.2=6/h.

My sweet Eleonore, show no fear, for the fearful riders are all ear, and they smell and tastes every tear. But more importantly: They aren't here! Therefore there is no reason to fear. Not until they ride again, my dear.
