Title: IP Leech (Some more)
Post by: ãłþħά-∆9 on June 29, 2010, 08:15:51 PM
activate virii file #168633 Improved IP Leech V 11.3767 [Owned][localhost], 4h 44m 22s     0.1     51195 CPU    153585 MEM

I think Glitch mentioned it somewhere already but it seems to have the wrong memory useage (Or CPU useage really)

Now compare with a small password breaker:

myBreaker     2.45544     4911 CPU     306930 MEM

I think it needs a bit of a tinkering with

From software types page:

450 CPU     1350 MEM
for a 0.1 Leech
Well 11.3767 / 0.1 = 113.767 * 1350 = 153585 (I didn't expect it to be right tbh)

So it's right? It's meant to be like that? :S

Weird...

If this is stupid delete it  :13:

I mentioned it should take up ten times more mem. Becuase if you look at the av its 21600 mem. So it should be 13500 mem.

The virii should consume more CPU and less memory, while AV consumes less CPU and more memory.

OK sir emi.  An IP Leech Virus takes up 450 cpu and 1350 memory. The  IP Leech Anti-Virus takes 225 cpu and 21600 memory. Should the av take 16 times more memory but only half the cpu? It is really a matter of proportions.

Iy just seemed off it used so little Memory and so high CPU

I thought they would be...proportionate, as Glitchy said  :17:

But if it's meant to be this way then as i say, delete it if it's stupid  :14:

It's the same like spyware... balanced so that the AV missions take more hardware...

Name           CPU        Memory
SpyWare           300         900
Anti-SpyWare  150        22500

It's not such a high difference when you calculate the HPD you need to get the hardware:

150 extra CPU for vir => 150 HPD *( 150/50) = 450 HPD
21600 extra memory => 150 HPD *(21600/3000) = 1080 HPD

So a bit more HPD for the AV, but that's why some servers are disinfect specialized with high Mem, while others are vir specialized with high CPU...

I see, nice to know you've thought this through so well  :5:

Fine that is the last time I question the game creator on how he created something in the game.
