Title: Several fixes
Post by: siremi on November 23, 2008, 02:36:57 PM
- Rev global timer works properly, only one Rev can be installed every 6h.

- Fixed overload bug where it could take up more resources then the gateway had. Also added an additional protection measure to not allow negative resource usage.

- fixed a research bug where it would not count the proper usage with the new version when completing research tasks one by one.

- fixed an issue with the sniffer where it would not remote pass change if the timer was too high

- fixed Rev counter, it should count the installed Revs no matter what, even if the owner formats gateway or anything happens to the installed Rev. Rev installed numbers are re-counted every 5 minutes.

Many thanks to the players that provided step by step instructions on the bugs.

I dont want to be pessimistic but I dont think everyone will forgive Emi until some of the updates are undone.

Many thanks to the players that provided step by step instructions on the bugs.

So there are players that have got the source of the game?

If you have released it, you should make it public for all of us, not only for some of them.

No, by that I assume he means players showing step by step how they performed the bug so Emi could track down the cause.

I find it highly doubtful that he released the source of the game to people.

I have seen you have made the game to show your name on those places, but I think if someone has stolen the code they would be able to modify them. I do not know if they are rumors or facts.

I dobut the code is encoded, php code cannot be decoded and processed that fast in a 3 games shared host, and I guess all of them are encoded... unless the encoding is so easy to being broken.

I think I would try to code a game from scratch if I want to create any new game

There have been a various of discussions about stealing Emis code to make a new HP which will be without some specific updates. I think some of the updates are good but they have wrong numbers or is simply focusing on wrong stuff.

I used to think that way too, then i realized the limits of AP.

I thought the global timer was fixed?  Reason I ask is because when I checked the game 23 hours ago there were only 6 Revs installed.

Now assuming 6 hours had passed already that means that the 10th Rev couldn't be installed until approx 4am Game time.  That means there should be around 20 hours left on the timer yet there is
WARNING! DOOM'S DAY DEVICE ACTIVATED!
Time left: 12 h 48 m 47 s

Titam?
