I imagine that, since it's based in some part of the world other than the US, that the answer is no. I know there are a few, but there aren't many countries outside the US which follow that backwards tradition. (No, I am in no way bitter or otherwise against the idea of daylight savings time. I am completely neutral about it in every way. )

I'm clearly not well traveled. I still think it's a backwards and pointless practice, though.

I always wondered just how it "preserved daylight" when the motion of the Earth is unaffected. We could just knock the clocks back a half hour at this point and split the difference. "Preserving daylight" is pretty pointless these days anyway given the bright artificial lighting we have at our disposal.

i cant speak for any other country but here in the uk although DST was invented and banded about before hand the actual notion of it wasnt fully adobted until world war one when some bright spark decided it would help save on candles if the sunlight lasted longer - so they decided to move all the clocks forward so that instead of getting dark at 7pm it would get dark at 8pm instead thus saving 1 hour of candletime and thus allowing candles to last longer.
i dont have specific details but allegedly they even moved it back 2 hours during one of the wars as the supply of candles/oil got very low.
