Title: HDD overload bug Post by: norill on January 15, 2011, 06:54:44 PM i keep losing some random crap because my HDD is overloaded somehow. prolly because of downloads, but most of the time i get warnings that i dont have enough space on HDD when trying to complete download. apparently evaluation of free space is bugged, maybe it has something to do with hidden files
Title: Re: HDD overload bug Post by: siremi on January 18, 2011, 11:35:49 PM It definitely has something with hidden files... if there are hidden files, your free space will not be properly reported, this is not a bug.
You should try to find the hidden file / format if possible, or increase HDD size until problem goes away. Title: Re: HDD overload bug Post by: norill on January 21, 2011, 10:30:23 AM it just happened on 2 of my servers with no hidden files :/
Title: Re: HDD overload bug Post by: ãłþħά-∆9 on January 30, 2011, 11:03:53 AM I actually find that with hardware overloading, sometimes it doesnt notice you've added hardware to stop it overloading and crashes a process anyway, its really annoying.

There should be a check there and it always calculates the available resources before crashing, so if you free up resources it shouldn't crash. My guess is there where still not enough resources... Title: Re: HDD overload bug Post by: ivandrago on February 08, 2011, 01:12:02 PM I've never had my files disappear if I upgraded my HDD before the timer ran out
Title: Re: HDD overload bug Post by: ãłþħά-∆9 on February 10, 2011, 10:41:16 AM It was a very short timer, I think it was a CPU/MEM overload
The timer was on 2 minutes or so i wa slike o shi- quickly added enough Came back later and there it was, gone :13: I could try it out somehow... If i'm wrong i'm sorry, I was pretty d**n sure I added enough hardware though... Title: Re: HDD overload bug Post by: norill on January 04, 2012, 10:46:55 AM *whispers*its still happening
Title: Re: HDD overload bug Post by: asdfth12 on January 04, 2012, 05:41:48 PM I've noticed it happening if the free space is close to zero. It's happened a couple times when I only had a couple megs of space left.
It's proably due to space ratio/Percentage calculation. I had the percentage at a hundred even though the space used was under or over capacity (Both in small amounts, less then... 10 mb I think. Happened last round so I can't remember the exact numbers.) Title: Re: HDD overload bug Post by: norill on January 04, 2012, 06:34:33 PM i had even as much as 102% so i dont think thats the cause
