Some updates for today:

- Virus Identifier returns a "N/A for vir type" to owner in case of Spyware / Revelation virii (2% chance of revealing owner IP still applies)

- It is now possible to "Assign program to tasklist" to a virus. Then, from the task list, you will see an entry that says "Upload [virName]" instead of the usual "Execute" command. The upload does not need any tasks selected, just select that and click "Confirm". This should start an upload process from the "Running Software", saving time to go to Programs, find the file and click upload...

 Completing identify virus process...
 Cracking virus signature... done

 Generating virus identity report:
 Vir file: #198157 Revelation Virus V 0.1
 Vir type: Revelation Virus
Vir owner: N/A for vir type
Checking for remnants of owner IP...
 Vir file has no owner...

remote identify vir file #198157 | Revelation Virus V 0.1 process complete!

I thought the chance to get IP for revelation and spyware still applied?  From the wording here the chance doesn't exist.

If it says "Vir file has no owner..." then that's exactly what it means. The virus does not have a parent owner, so there is nothing to search. I'm thinking VMan changed IP to see if it is still showing in the Revelation room...

The test server with Revelations on it has not changed IP since it was first created.

I see, just checked and it seemed that it was not checking for the IP.
Fixed it, and should work fine now.

Thank you

A virus identifier seems kinda useless (currently) can someone correct me? esp. it's prime use. (except the chance for getting the IP, that's useful..)

best use so far is to see who owns a virii, this can be very useful to some of us. if you take a mission, it is nice to know who's virus it is, and if you are a nice person, you can tell them that you are disinfecting their virus, when you will complete and what server, that way they don't get mad and retaliate from you taking a mish... another thing is nice to find out who owns a virus if you do not like someone so you are trying to kill all their virii, but you know that sometimes someone else owns a virus by the same name, ex: people do not like riolic, people disinfect riolic named virii, riolic does not know about it because neo actually owned the virus, not riolic.....

That's okay, we like Neo just about as much as we like Riolic.

Selecting VI under Running Processes shows ZERO active VI's when I know there are 20-30 currently running.

Selecting File Share shows ZERO File Share installing or active.
