Title: Log Deleting
Post by: Melville on June 26, 2008, 12:12:23 PM
I hope this hasn't been suggested before. My idea was, that you could delete all of the logs on localhost or remotehost that you have the skill to remove, all at one time. However, maybe to balance this out, it takes a certain amount of time, and leaves your IP along with a "48.154.6.535 (not really someones IP, I hope) has completed a log wipe" or something of that sort. The reason for this would be that, going through all of your logs and deleting every single one of them can take a lot of time, if you hadn't caught on to that when you started. If it's meant to take a long time, then completely disregard this idea.

Not good if trying it on something that has hundreds or thousands of entries.

But we may make it work to try this on the last 10 log entries, then you could go to next page and delete last 10 and so on...

I would say to ONLY have it delete your Gateway logs.

If on a remote host then have it ONLY delete your own entries within that servers logs.

Nobody have the IP 48.154.6.535.

Refreshing this thread.  Something that Titam said he would work on but hasn't been implemented yet.
