Two options: Someone installed it to see what would happen or someone installed it to disinfect it because it takes less time than a delete. I seriously doubt there's any coordinated effort to effect a reset just yet or they wouldn't have installed it on a secret server that's just going to reformat and IP change. Title: Re: Rev virus on public server Post by: virus man on February 13, 2009, 07:55:17 PM Except for the fact that you are suppose to be able to install it on any server with protects V1.0 or greater. And because of the fact the hardware is not updating correctly, you can't do that.
