Title: Hiding level
Post by: MaTeMaTiC on March 25, 2009, 01:47:58 PM
Why the level of hiding depends on the software which is hiden?

I have hider much better than 0.4 and if I hide Virii 0.2 on public host, it is hidden like 0.4 hider.
With viruses 0.1 it is like with hider 0.3.

Because of than it is no more profitable to upgrade hider. Why is it like that?

So that high level players can't come in with their v40 hider and hide their v.5 or v1 virii (probably fileshares at that point) making them almost untouchable to most players.

That's another balancing factor for adware vs fileshares.  Fileshares are generally lower version so they can't be hidden as high, while adwares can be supported at higher versions which means higher hide versions.

If you didn't notice the trend, you can only hide files up to .2 more then it's version. It is still profitable to upgrade the hider - but not if your hiding low version files.

Gotta love those who don't search.

Hide only does software version + 0.2
