obviously you'd break the legs off the table to use them as a sledgehammer, and break the mirror to make a knife to cut wires/smaller things

duh

Inorite.
Stupid riddles.

The answer is simple. And stupid. I've heard it before so I googled

He looks in the mirror. He sees what he saw. He takes the saw. He cuts the table in Half. Two halves make a whole. He climbs out the hole.

It's not a riddle, its a pile of sweaty dog bollocks.

When you're full you want to eat it. if it is completely dark you can see. If you fall on a heap of cotton, you'll suffer from it.  even if you're broke you'll still have it. What is it?

Nothing can't be something!
Tis nothing though.

A ton of gold and a tonne of feathers, which is heaviest?

Title: Re: riddles
Post by: Andreas on November 14, 2010, 06:16:37 AM
Both are just as heavy as long as the word 'ton' means the metric ton.

Title: Re: riddles
Post by: ãłþħά-∆9 on November 14, 2010, 07:26:13 AM
You picked up on it at least.

1 tonne = 1.10231131 short tons
1 short ton = 0.90718474 tonne

Feathers!

Title: Re: riddles
Post by: Andreas on November 14, 2010, 07:40:53 AM
You did not specify what kind of ton you meant. Ton could also be an alternate spelling to tonne or a long ton which is more then one tonne.

A lot of things such as a computer or an engine. But I believe the answer to be either a faucet or a nose. Those two are usually the answer.

Title: Re: riddles

A human.

We crawl in our infancy, or spring. We walk in our adolescence and adulthood, or summer. We use a cane to assist us in our old age, or fall. We lie on our backs in death, or winter.

Post something challenging.

Isn't that the riddle given by the Sphinx in the old legends?

Yes. That's why it's not challenging. It's too popular, like all the 'riddles' Bonty's given so far. It's down to whoever can post first rather than whoever can figure it out first.

Footsteps.

Quote

They were heading toward a fire truck and it was raining because the first one turned the hose on the rest.

Or, more seriously, the seventh man (the dry one) was in a coffin and the other six were pall bearers so they got wet as they carried the coffin.

-----------------------------------

1) I am the start of war and end of sorrow. You can't express wisdom without me but I am the heart of dimwits. You may find me in waves but never in oceans.

2) A pack of hungry wolves are chasing you. You run till you come across a dilapidated house with three rooms. The first room has weapons hidden all over which may fire anytime. The second room has a ferocious lion which hasn't eaten for many weeks. The third room has vials of sulfuric acid located near the ceiling which may drip anytime and corrode one's skin. Which room will you hide in to escape from the pack of wolves?

A precious gift
Yet it has no end
No beginning
And in the middle
Nothing

All about the house
With his maid he dances
Yet he always works
And never romances

Be sure to shout
For its answers are weak
There is no language
It cannot speak
