Title: Overclocking Abilities
Post by: N3hpy50X3 on October 06, 2012, 09:07:29 PM
...can we have "overclocking"? (but with the risk of completely destroying the server)
there should be a variance between servers, so it's all just down to luck...every server different (random generated) otherwise every player just overclock until they figure the safety percent
that way it's a risk to overclocking (say a 50% chance that the server cannot be overclocked at all, so it would basically be destroyed with any overclocking attempt)
OTHERWISE all overclocking would require "overclocking software", and higher version will give better results but still a risk of breaking the server
...or maybe it doesn't destroy a server but, say you want to overclock HDD, if fails then HDD is lose everything and still damages HDD by a percent
*means that most player will overclock in the beginning to find a stable setting

should beable to sell servers for ~50% or ~25% of value worth, but if it a broken system then you only get ~1% or 5% value worth

this could replace "overloading"? NO. because it's just hardware level, otherwise it would make all software on system becomes super software or something...
