Title: Group Missions
Post by: DrJones on July 22, 2008, 01:16:31 PM
I'm sure it has been said before but I didn't notice it on the first few pages here.

Some sort of groups where we can join a group of hackers and bid on jobs we can work together that require some insane amout of computing power with a reward going to a group pool or being split evenly amongst the group. It may make HPD not so hard to get, if there were some sort of bidding option where groups could bid against each other for the job and help with malicious tampering. Then we could either do solo work or group work for the more casual players.

I agree this would be a lot of fun! There'd have to be some kind of restriction on who can bid for a job though. Some of the stronger players have more cpu/mem than 10 low players and could easily do the jobs alone. Also, this would take a lot of coding, since it's basically a revamp of the entire game.

For sure stronger groups would have to be allowed to bid on higher jobs then smaller groups and not compete too much directly. A size range or something. For sure not a short term goal but would be nice to see more working together instead of against each other.
