Title: The Anti-Rev Game Show
Post by: virus man on October 23, 2008, 07:37:10 PM
Alright maggots here is the deal.   You will have to provide a screenshot and allow me to see the logs showing that YOU disinfected one of the Revelations.

Also this is being extended to VI users.   Anyone who can provide a Screenshot showing the IP of the owner and said IP can be verified will earn the reward as well BUT it can not be an IP of one of the servers shown on the Revelations page.

What will you get out of this you ask?
Your choice of a V273 Firewall Protect or V273 Password Protect

Yes this is the commitment of SGP to keep Revelations from going off.

Before I go running out and picking up a copy, would you be able to post the requirements to run the required Faith AV? I'm apparently trying run new software on a TRS-80, lol.

Just one question... SGP owns the SoTL servers?

To my knowledge SGP does NOT own the SoTL servers.  In fact one of the few still working IPs that have connected to them belongs to a file share farm of a formed EoD member.  Understand I am not saying he is at fault but he does know SGP has him on the PERM kill list so there is possible motive.

Both of us know that's a frame up situation.

Why did SGP researched Revelation up to 2.452 on the first place?
Look at all those "Stolen" Revelation Viruses v2.452 .

Every Rev virus should be removed from the game to prevent people from being able to buy it or research it.
You guys have researched it even and now everyone with enough HPD can start DD.
Great.

Trying to be God and claiming to be Anti-Rev, but in the meanwhile helping the Revelation people get their hands on a good and dangerous Rev version. HJ was even playing with the Rev virus to hurt people "he didnt like or that did something wrong lol" but who were clearly Anti-Rev. Rev virus should not be used as a weapon vs anti-sgp people.. It shouldnt be used at all.

Btw, nice offering of protection softwares but I doubt any high ranked players, outside SGP/ARC, will let you check their logs.

However even you can attest to the fact I have always been straight forward and honest.  So that should not be a problem.

Good point Donn.

To summarize:

Bombing the site isn't going to work since Rev is in install mode.
Installation is going to take days (between 4 and 5 for 1.0 and 11 for the other version)
Removing Rev is going to take days.
You cannot use Faith to remove Rev until it is installed.
Attempted deletion of the file in question will take 3333h 18m 49s (add a few seconds)
This is going to be a team effort due to counter attacks.

What you say?!

Is it still to early to bring this back and call it retro? I'm thinking no, sadly enough.
