We used to have a who's online feature for everyone. It was a seperate part of the rankings. One one show you the rankings, the other would show you who's online.

The file is proably in use.
3  HP Info Terminal / F.A.Q. / Re: Ability points and faction standing on: March 29, 2013, 07:19:32 PM
Is it a good idea to spend those points early on, or save them a while? Also, is it advisable to spend PvP Points on Ability Points? What about action points, and when I see Cost AP to modify a log entry, is that Action Points or Ability Points. I assume it is Action Points, as that would be horrifically expensive if it was the Ability Points. Where can I find out how many Action Points I have?

AP = Action Points.

I don;t think ability points has a abbreviation in game, but it would be AbP if it did.

PVP points aren't directly traded for Abiity points though - You trade the pvp points for faction standing. 1k standing gets you 1 bility point when you level up.

Action points are shown on the top left of the page - Just under the HP logo. It says Time: ???? AP. The ???? are your action points. They regen @1 a minute, with a max regen of 3k. This is only how many you will regenerate though - Your total points can be much higher then that, your just not going to regenerate them once you have more then 3k stored.

Your current number of ability points is shown under your ability.
4  HP Info Terminal / F.A.Q. / Re: How do I backup? on: March 29, 2013, 12:51:03 PM
You can backup files to a second server - But they still wouldn't be 'that' secure.

The best option for backups is the ftp server - A gold feature.
5  HP Info Terminal / F.A.Q. / Re: Ability points and faction standing on: March 29, 2013, 12:50:19 PM
You can reset a ability to recover 50% of the points used.

Abilities are divided into two groups - All factions, and faction based. The ones that are all faction abilities can be upgraded no matter what faction your currently apart of. The ones that are faction based you have to be in that faction in order to upgrade them.

Nah - Nothing was changed. Still got 170 groups, vast majority being dead.

The in game tutorial hasn't been updated in like... nuts, 2 or 3 years.

wdg would be a good starting group. It's been around for a few years - Not the most active around but a good choice for a new member. CDC would be another choice but I'm not sure if they are recruiting. Last I heard wdg will take pretty much anyone though.

Even then, the numbers on both the game and forums are bloated with junk accounts.

If Emi ever decided to purge the spam accounts (On forums) or the accounts that have never been used in the last few years (in game) then we'd have less then a fifth of our current numbers.

Same with purging the never used groups. We've got 170 groups. Purge the never used ones - The ones that haven't had their member amount updated, and whose only members have never logged in for the last round or three - and we'd cut that number down to 30 or so.

Purging the in game accounts wouldn't be that hard - Emi's already programmed in a feature that shows how long it's been since the person last logged in. All he needs to do it tie it in with the reset, have those never used account marked on a reset and set to delete after a few marks. Even without a direct purge on dead groups this would slash the number by around 100 or so.

As far as I know, purging the forum accounts would have to be done manually. But thats not much of a issue - I've purged a forum last year and most of the time it's as easy as just looking at the email they used to register with.

Adding capchas to the game registration and mod/admin approval for forum accounts would cut down on junk accounts, a lot.

Bump.
11  Feedback Terminal / Suggestions / Diffrient premium packages on: March 24, 2013, 05:56:26 AM
Basic idea - Split up the current gold memberships into two diffrient packages, Bronze and Silver, and add a new, special, upgrade.

Description change - $.50
One time change of your server description. Would have the option to revert back to the standard description. If a diffrient custom desciption is desired, would have to buy again. Description would last until the next round.

AP
Bump the current AP bonus amount to 500 from the current 350.

Bronze - $10
One Time Bonus - Current bonuses
Additional AP - 4k recharge
Bounce - 10 Nodes
Ad-Free

Silver - $20
One time Bonus - 2x current
Additional AP - 5k Recharge
FTP Access - Yes, but BW would be used when downloading from the FTP
Bounce - 20 nodes
Virus - current amount
Able to freely edit server description
HW/UPG prices - -10%
Ad-Free

Gold - $30
One time bonus - 3x current
Additional AP - 6k recharge
FTP Access - Full access, uploads and downloads work as they currently do
Bounce - 20 Nodes
Able to freely edit server name and description
HW/UPG prices - -20%
Standing bonus - 10%
Virus - Current Amount
Ad-free

Platnium/Lifetime - $100
Everything in gold (I'm to lazy to retype it.)
Standing bonus changed to +20%
pvp bonus - +20%

A person can upgrade to a new package if they wish - If they get bronze and then decide to upgrade to Gold then they would simply donate the diffrence - $20. When upgrading to a new package their current time remaining wouldn't reset - It would remain as is. If they let their premium account expire, then the cost to renew it would be (with the exception of the lifetime package) half of it's cost. If you have bronze and renew for another year, $5. Silver, $10, Gold, $15.

Adding a standing bonus and a higher AP recharge amount to the Gold is pretty much greater reward for the higher cost.

*Current amount means what that bonus is currently for gold. The one time bonus is X amount, so Bronze would get X amount, Silver 2X amount, Gold 3x amount. Same for viruses  - What the current limit is right now for gold is what it would be under the changed packages.
12  Feedback Terminal / Suggestions / Bonus HPD for new accounts on: November 23, 2012, 10:11:36 PM
The additional HPD that is given out to new accounts should affect all accounts, dependent upon how many days have passed since the first login for a new round.

Good to see that you have nothing to say. Looks like I've finally got you to grow up, and finally agree that you are a idiot.

seriously? that is the best you can come back with? Guess u missed the point of me making u look dumb because of what u post not how u post it...lol

On a side note, i know people with a genius IQ who use smiles...lol Anyone can make a post look Smart, doesn't mean it is...

Post A)

HAI guize, I fiNAllay figurared out dat tewo pluz two equalez 4!!!

Post B)

Two plus two equals four.

Tell me, of the example posts, both of them provide correct information. But, which one looks more intelligent? (Alternatively, which one looks to be written by a person who is always happy and carefree, and which one looks like it's written by a person with a cold heart and no soul?)

As for IQ, it depends how the test is calculated and what scale it uses. On some scales, 100 is a good score. Your not a genius with that score, but your smarter then the average person. However, on some scales, 100 means that you are a complete retard who would eat his own nuts if not for someone caring for him ever hour of the day.

As for my IQ, I took a test once. The maximum score was 150, anyone with a score over 80 is considered to not be a complete retard, 100 was the average, and anything over 140 meant you were a genius. My score was 127.

As for what, and how, what I post is a collection of grammatically correct facts. What you post is a bunch of insults, aimed at making yourself feel better, that completely ignores some of the most basic rules of proper English. While I agree that I am beating a dead horse with some of the stuff I post, at least I care enough to ensure that is, at least, partially grammatically correct. Which is more then can be said about your replies, correction, insults.
15  Hacker Project Café / Whatever / Re: Finally, I understand why there are 40000 players in this game but gave up on: August 24, 2012, 07:26:41 PM
Given that my post was using more proper grammar then yours, and the complete lack of smilies in mine, I'd say that your post is the one that looks stupid.

If you want to get into a debate about who is smarter then who, using proper grammar and forgoing simile faces in your responses is a good way to show intelligence.

I'll admit that I've made grammatical errors in my post, but your posts contain a vastly greater number.

So, work on your grammar and typing then come back and argue about who is a idiot.
