...(God help you and GoS if HJ does come back...actually...god help you and GoS if I decide to come back at any time! :P)...

I should point out that. that was not in any way an insinuation that HJ would have any reason to have a personal vendetta against GoS, just that, like myself, he is old-school when it comes to HP (oh and did i mention relentless? x.X), and wouldn't take kindly to your attitude thus far, sorry for using you as an example HJ if you're reading 1

Should we be scared? We out number everyone  13
Like Gin said, this is a game of skill, not numbers, besides, most of GoS members are noobs if i remember correctly LOL.
Ah what i wouldn't give for the old SGP to return :(
   (and by "old"...i mean the old members, and the old ways...what would happen to GoS then, i wonder)

Everyone is paranoid they are going to be hit by rev...  Seems to be a lot of that going around.
That's just Alpha-9 and GoS, only way they could get into the Top 10  laugh laugh laugh laugh

Can't wait to see what doesn't get done in the next round PMSL!

We're the only ones who ddin't focus on snoreland Barons  5

Round thanks
A special thanks to: Uber stein! For constantly having 30000 bandwidth and constantly researching log undeleters that immediately got taken by us, and for quitting mid round and giving me his account then coming back, should have nuked your account while i could  13
DamascuS - For leaving a giant rage log about how little he cares, then caring so much when we nuke his gateway  laugh
Ivan Drago - Captain winbag ;) Been useful and friendly for 2 rounds now, much deserved victory!
The whole of GoS! - We stuck together and thrived when we did, a bit more organisation next round and we'll be on top again i hope  7
Also thanks to anyone we had to nuke out of the top ten to get more of our guys in, it was nothing personal, we just wanted as many of us in the leader board as we could  19

GG!
Spoken like a true noob, take my advice, quit while you're ahead 1

Used to be good for quick ranking points too...and filling your hard drive space FAST...until it started using resources laugh

So your program would act as a front end and you would play HP inside of it?  That's cool.
-Brok

Exactly 19

Since there seems to be some uncertainty and even a little trepidation regarding the SGP HP tool program, I should think that's a good idea.
Agreed, i will see what i can come up with over the next week or so, gotta see if i can find my todo lists too before Ebolla cracks the whip out again. laugh
7  General Category / HP History / Re: Disappointing on: July 25, 2009, 08:31:20 PM
Heck why not, It does feel like things are dying off again.
And its not like i don't have the hardware...or servers laugh

I would really like to see the remote malware update before we pop it though (*chuckle*)

I wonder what the newbies think? Any of you guys actually read the forums? I know you're out there, SGP is still getting 5-10 join requests/week! lol
8  Feedback Terminal / Suggestions / Re: New software ideas on: July 24, 2009, 12:54:08 AM
Hmm, your first couple of suggestions Brok are more or less what has been implemented in the program, such as additions to the server display, and other calculations such as; the maximum file version of each type of virii that can be installed, or how long it would take you to upload a specific program without actually starting the upload (saves time & log space cancelling the task if it takes too long shifty), and then there is my personal favourite...the server stats extrapolator! bodyguard (when it actually wants to work...i'm sure emi keeps changing the formula on purpose!)

The program we are developing is basically all kinds of little tweaks like that, and a few extras such as an expanded database, that basically serve as an interface to the game, you could say it is basically a browser that is only able to visit HP lol. However sad to say, even though we were hoping to get it into testing at the start of R3, it is still very much in development as i have had to re-write a lot of it due to the updates that have happened, and then there is the issue of staying within the ToS, but emi is always on hand to give us a slap if we cross the line laugh

Anyway, just wanted to clear that up 14

Actually...i'm wondering if we should make a specific thread, outlining the intended features.....Ebolla?

Pointers?...Why hate pointers? They make our life so much easier at times (can be grueling too mind).

Code:
float x[10];
float *p = &x[10];

while(p != x){
*--p = 0.0;
}
nice no?

C++ for me. Started on BASIC. But you see my point.
Ditto bro, started with BASIC waaaay back in the school days, specifically, i remember us writing our own version of Pac-Man for a class project, what fun lol.
10  Feedback Terminal / "Bugs" and Problems / Re: Hidden Files on: July 06, 2009, 11:07:10 AM
Closing words...ALL research processes count as actual running programs, such as the issues with the password break. Which means it will hide any files with the higher one running through research, but will still be limited by that file's version.

Glad you got that sorted out DeltA, and sorry i'm late laugh
11  General Category / HP History / Re: Something needs to be done. on: July 02, 2009, 02:47:19 AM
Hmm, it was my understanding that the resources are already doubled when you overload, and then then once you complete the task, they go back down to the level reflecting the version. (Yep...that little buggy is still there laugh )

Oh noes...did i just say bug!?

In any matter, i say just DON'T allow overload AT ALL.....Ok that may be a little extreme, but more realistic no? After all, we can't overload our protects to compensate.

To avoid extremes (and possible flaming) i'll say we could always just allow an overload up to a maximum of 5x, that gives plenty of room to crack the secret servers when you are first unable to do research, like when you first start out, but doesn't allow just anyone and everyone to walk right in the front door of a top 10 player's server without lifting so much as their little finger 1

BUMP!!!!!

ETA? or even a "nearly done"?

While i'm here, may i offer my services for any testing and so-forth, may aswell put my free time to something worth-while, other than getting further ahead, or...would i just be digging my own grave... laugh

I am working on it and should complete this task soon.
Sorry that there is no ETA but other more pressing matters had to be resolved first.
A testing phase may be done, I will also test it extensively to make sure it's working smoothly before implementing.

Thank you for you patience.
No worries emi, the reassurance is all i needed 5

And as i said before, if you would like any help, don't hesitate to drop me a message  19
