31  General Category / HP History / Group representation in IRC on: May 22, 2009, 09:38:38 PM
I would like to have each group leader either reply here or PM me who YOU want as your representative in IRC.

Now what does this mean?  Each group will have 1 person who will be an OP in #THPChat
They will have to agree to the rules so that there is no abuse.  Their jobs will primarily be to maintain the peace and the OPs will moderate the channel when Titam is there so there can be a smooth Q&A with him.   I will be getting with him when I see him in channel to set things up on his end as well as putting up a schedule for the OPs to be there when he is there etc.

My goals are to provide a fun and enjoyable environment for us to hang out in and to provide a constructive environment when Titam is there to provide Q&A time.  As such the rules will be geared towards that.

This is also the perfect time for suggestions as to what rules and what penalties to setup.   You are the community and I want your feedback and assistance to make this IRC Channel become the one to rule all THP IRC Channels!  ;)

Oh and yes Triadian turned the channel over to me tonight since I originally ran the old channel.  He will stay on as an OP unless he decides not to.

Tiak left near the end of R1 because of the way the game was looking.  Sadly there are many SGP that have left the game.

Neo
CRL
Soviet Pride
Rothum
MoTS
Tiak
And many many more.

The original SGP was 6 people.
Rothum
MoTS
Ebolla
Neo
Soviet
Gor

Then once they started leaving things went up and down.

Scrixx
HJ
Crlaozwyn
Tiak
nolkillerklowns
Krieger
DamascuS
Araeus
Zand
pendruag
kriszke
jimmi33
Exousia
dupke
Eledran

Those are all who have come and gone since the original SGP, some are still in SGP to this day.  And I think every single person on the forums can attest that they have all been a driving force within the game.  SGP has always been disliked by the majority as a whole which is fine with me.  SGP is a living force within the game now.  Those who have moved on have started their own groups to try and accomplish the things they did when they were a part of SGP.  Many others who were not directly related have had their lives in the game shaped by SGP and that has driven them to become better players to threaten SGP.  And that alone makes me proud of creating SGP and having it run in various ways.

In the days and rounds to come the SGP roster will change time and time again. Those who are our adversaries will continue pushing with new strategies and tactics.  Which in turn will drive SGP to become better and better.

/salute

Bugged missions that had the code split by max log text will expire soon.

And it has been more than 2 days....

(Oh, and if it is a matter of gold status, pay up the 20 bucks. You would pay more than that if the game was in stores.. Speaking of which, I've almost had my gold for a full year...time for a top up soon)

Yeah I gotta see if I can scrounge the money together to renew mine as well seeing as Titam has made some terrific strides in improving the game even if they were ill-timed ;)

Really? In what way?
What's your point? Even if that would be true, as you said it - 'WAS'. And if one member was before associated with SGP and was then in SI, that does not mean he's yours forever 1

Perhaps you should talk to HJ about SI and where SI got it's software before you make yourself into more of a fool and lose any more respect.

SGP facilitated Revelations in R1 and R2.   All those servers hosting Revelations that were against me were actually all owned by SGP members.

Hehe ... hihi ... hoho ... Are you sure? So I was in SGP? And Ginjitsu? And Triadian? And ...

That being said....   SGP has always been the number 1 group.  There have been some players who were exceptional with their planning and end of round play but all in all as a group SGP has the most in the HoF out of any group who stated their existance.

Mwahahahahaahahahahahaahaha, you are funny, virus man, really funny ... Number 1 in what? Boasting?

If that statement is true, how come only two of HoF are now listed as in SGP? Oh - I forgot - you are hiding ... I was in SI, true, but after they broke apart, I never looked for a new group. But I do have information. That is my purpose in this game - gathering information. And I must tell you - you sure are full of 'stierpoep'!

Then you know that SI was connected to SGP.  Anything else?
37  General Category / HP History / Re: SGP's Statement of Intent on: May 19, 2009, 09:35:29 PM
are you going to post wich members were in sgp and in the HoF at the end of each round too?

Well from here on out I won't have to since Titam is forcing the group affiliation tag.
38  General Category / HP History / Re: SGP's Statement of Intent on: May 19, 2009, 09:23:08 PM
so the statement

SGP has been recreated.  SGP membership is considered classified and will not be given out.  All members, with the exception of me, will deny any affiliation with SGP.

is not really a statement? they way I see it, displaying that you are part of sgp is the same thing as telling people you are affiliated with it.

also, hj, I think you should look at the HOF before making more posts like that...

Well I have thought long and hard on this matter and am going to come forth with something.

SGP was around in R2.  It was broken down into cells to allow me to find the leaks from R1.  Those leaks were found and obliterated.

SGP facilitated Revelations in R1 and R2.   All those servers hosting Revelations that were against me were actually all owned by SGP members.
In R1 SGP has a split as to if it should be pro-rev or pro-faith.  We agreed we would not screw with each other but only those who were pro-faith had access to the pro-faith forums.

That being said....   SGP has always been the number 1 group.  There have been some players who were exceptional with their planning and end of round play but all in all as a group SGP has the most in the HoF out of any group who stated their existance.

And the software from the R1 HoF was all SGP software.  R2 I am not sure who researched it even though it was quickly acquired by lots.

Why am I coming forth with this?  Because I have decided that from here on out SGP will disclose all end of round actions used during that round.  This will help SGP become better at the game as well as help out others.  However since my memory sucks, dam prescription drugs, I don't have everything documented but have made references to several R1 strats throughout the forums.

Going by the OP it sounds like the log is created when the mission spawns.  So same log entry for everyone.
40  HP Info Terminal / News & Updates / Re: Recover Codes mission update on: May 19, 2009, 08:39:50 PM
Ah you mean no more getting peoples IPs that way?  I thought it was funny I kept getting IPs belonging to other users or to other secret servers.

As my daddy always said "Son, opinions are like a$$holes.  Some just stink more than others."

Dang, you broke another of your statements 1
Right now I can name 6 of your members ...

Well that wasn't due to me but due to the fact that Titam decided to ignore the part in the Group discussion about making the Group tag user set.

OP has been updated to reflect recent changes in game play to which it was stated we would test thoroughly in the second paragraph.
43  HP Info Terminal / News & Updates / Re: Groups Project update on: May 17, 2009, 02:39:29 PM
Not sure if anyone else has this problem, but in the top-groups section of the goup page, the table width goes way over the page size, and i have to scroll right to see the rest.

Maybe consider using percentages (%) for the column widths instead? I would include a screenshot but there would be too much editing to do, and ive got too much stuff running on here as it is (firefox isn't exactly picky when it comes to system resources) /lol

While im here i have a suggestion to add to the group update, not a big one, you can depost funds into the group fund, but how about being able to transfer an amount of your HPD to another member of the same group, that would greatly help groups when there are new members joining who have not been playing as long, and its would also be nice to help fellow group members out. Could be added to the finance section of the group page, with a selection box of the members etc, easy. 19

You can do that already via Virii.  Let them install virii on your system and when they have gotten the amount agreed upon disinfect it.

Titam,
Will you be implementing a group tax feature?   To tax Missions and Virii income so members will automatically generate income for the group?
45  HP Info Terminal / News & Updates / Re: Groups Project update on: May 16, 2009, 09:38:50 PM
Looks good.  Only question I have is group faction affiliation.  I hope that there is but I understand that abilities etc could be a problem.
