I don't get it, where does Neoke81 say he is pro-rev ?

It could be that my english is not good enough, but the 'maybe' tells me that he is anti-rev (or at least neutral) at this point.

I like this idea, nothing more to add.  7

I am well aware of the post you qouted, but you, mr. i-think-i-know-everything-better, should get your facts straight. You are wrong twice in 1 post.

1 - there is also a post where siremi stated what i said earlier
2 - you will never find me ingame

Emi have said that a reset wouldnt occure and now this happens.

I have to correct you on this, because you keep mentioning this statement.

I have read the post that Sir Emi made long time ago where he stated that he WANTS this game to be persistent. In the same post he also stated that the game might have a reset (depending on the future evolvement of the game).

For obvious reasons he now thinks that this game needs a reset and I must say I can only agree with him.

The way you propose it, it would eliminate an important aspect of this game.

It wouldn't be possible anymore to trace/hack/kill process at someone's computer who is ahead of you in a mission.
Some consider this behaviour as 'not done' but I consider it as just one of the options i have to earn as much money as possible.

I like the idea of locking processes on your gateway, but i would also like to do this on a remotehost. And there should also be a workaround for it.

Marcy ofc .... who didn't fancy her  14

It would help the top players even more.... they have piles of money lying around and nothing usefull to spend it on. They could research beyond all limits if they had the choice between AP and HPD.

I think the ip dealer will only give ip's of player gateways.
The best thing to do is to check the logs of public servers and try some ip's you find in there.

It shouldnt take long before you'll find a secret ip there, cuz someone bounced from a secret server to a public server (or vice versa).
84  HP Info Terminal / F.A.Q. / Re: Hacked on: August 04, 2008, 03:28:13 AM
If you use bounces then your ip will only show in the logfiles of your first bounce and not in the list of processes.
Acquiring protection software is your priority #1.

That is what is meant with abusable  19
87  Feedback Terminal / Suggestions / Re: IP Store suggestions on: July 31, 2008, 04:14:28 AM
This suggestion is potentially to my own disadvantage and it is also abusable but how about:
Randomizing the time it takes to perform an ip change (instead of the fixed 1 hour).
For example: min. 1 hour to max. 4 hours
88  Feedback Terminal / Suggestions / Re: IP Store suggestions on: July 31, 2008, 04:08:10 AM
couple of suggestions really.

3> Add in a random chance that the IP Store is not able to locate any IPs

I think this is already implemented ..... happened to me yesterday when i tried to buy an expert hackers IP.

Only one thing to do: change IP and hope that hacker won't find the new IP
90  HP Info Terminal / F.A.Q. / Re: Newbie Mission Tutorial on: July 30, 2008, 08:59:20 AM
Your IP will not be logged when you connect to a server. Also your IP will not be logged if you crack the server and then disconnect.

Your IP will show up in the log once you bounce through the server (a line sayin 'proxy connection established from ip xxx to ip yyy').
When you start an admin task on the server (e.g. view logs, files, processes) then an extra line will be added to the logs says 'admin logged in from ip xxx'.
