Dated, but maybe you'll find something useful there.

Refer to http://www.hacker-project.com/forum/index.php?topic=698.0

It's very incomplete, but it's all the research we've done on it. In short, higher software versions give more power, and HPD does give power.

IIRC - If I remember correctly.

Emi has a habit of overcompensating for anything he sees as unbalanced.

Players camping the servers of other players? AP update.

Players buying other player's IPs at a high rate? Nerf to the IP store.

Funny enough, he hasn't done anything about IP Change God Mode, which has been around just as long as these problems.

Well that's not okay because that didn't happen to everybody. If everyone who downloaded the 1.1s got .25s instead, then that's fair since no one got an unintended advantage. Emi never intended to have the servers progress that fast, so he tried to fix it. He did fix it, but not in a way that treated everyone who downloaded a copy fairly. I agree you definitely got the short end of the stick on that one.

your just mad cause your not top 10.

Heck, I'd hate you for that comment too. I'm in the top 10 and I say the round's going too fast.

Troll.

Is that really the players fault though? Technically because the bot was taking all the high-profit missions, it was stopping the spread of resources at the normal rate. Having the software spread does progress the game along a little faster, but not as much as people would think, since the HPD it gained was gotten at the expense of the other players who would have had a legitimate shot at the missions the bot was taking.

If Emi was going to delete something, he should have done it then. It's too late to do it now unless he plans on manually deleting each copy of software that was illegitimately researched. Heck, he should have done that with the v1.1 protects, but he didn't do that either, so I doubt he will here.

I still think that the voting system needs to be fixed. As it is now you can receive voting bonuses without actually placing your vote, which doesn't help THP when it comes to moving up in the ranks. I'm not aware of how many people here actually vote on a daily basis, but THP is doing worse than it should be in the listings IMO.

I watched that video (for the 9001st time) and I LIKED IT (yet again).

I could watch that dancing bartender jump on that fence for days.

Yeah his hardware save the BW is only oh...10 times mine. I know we don't want false positives here, but what other evidence do you need? His amount of activity alone suggests one of three things:

-Multiple players
-Bot
-Poopsocking

And well, honestly, this game isn't 'prestigious' enough to justify multiply players or poopsocking. No offense but it isn't.

IMO, having this guy dominate the mission boards through legal or illegal methods is worse than having to deal with the AP system.

That's what you said your intentions are, so an extra point for going through with them.

It just better not involve CAPTCHA. I swear to Turing that I will quit in a heartbeat if I see a CAPTCHA screen.

Even funnier than that one time I asked Ebolla to stop disinfecting my imaginary file shares from his server.

Well, it was aggravating for the both of us at the time, but in retrospect amusing.

You'd think that when handling explosives you'd be extra careful, apparently not.

misfit's account is offline, which means that he's either stopped using the bot or has shut it down for now.

Well, it's been three months and Emi hasn't said a word specifically about m1sf17's bot. Seems like the general attitude is "Legal until made illegal".
