Hrm, well i would have thought that removing just one link in that chain would be sufficient to stop the "chain reaction", but having to disinfect ALL 10 Rev's to stop doomsday!?......
Yeah when the 10 x Revs get installed, it's all or nothing, but no additional Revs can be installed, so you have to kill the 10x Revs but you don't have to worry about others popping up... Faith AV version is used like normal AV, the version does not decrease the disinfect time. Instead, the disinfect time is fixed and equal to the activation time for that virus version. The only difference between Faith and another AV is that it's disinfect time = activation time of Rev. That suggestion, I don't think it can work, sorry. So what you're saying is that it's useless to rechearch both rev and faint?

Yea, pritty stupid that.
The problem is once you hit 1100 CPU or 10 BW, your out of protection.
SirEmi, can you change that? (or the discription?)

I would support your cose, True Light has wasted its credit with planning to distroy its own hackers in an atampt to stop the coorperations (read: revalidation), so I wil do whatever I can to stop them

Verbal Judo.. Never heard of that one before, but its a verry good name for such a thing (I do normal Judo, have a black belt, so I know what Judo means) SirEmi: That is a perfect move in my eyes (but mabey it would be easier to ad a server that had rounds?) It makes people feel you listen to them and do whant, while you stil get what you want

Feedback Terminal / Suggestions / Re: Vacation mode
|

I suggest the following mechanics for "Vacation Mode":
When you start "Vacation Mode", it takes 30 minutes for the server to shut down. While it is running, the only processes that can be running are Virii, Firewalls, and Password Protects.
At the end of this, the following things happen:
1) All your servers go inactive. 2) All your virii stop aging. 3) All virii on your servers stop aging 4) You cease to have any IP.
After at least some minimum time, you can order a startup. Startup takes 1 hour. When startup completes, the following things happen:
1) All virii begin aging again 2) Each of your servers get a new IP 3) Anyone with Virii on your servers regains contact with their Virii (and thus is informed of your new IP) 4) A new process begins: Initiating web connections. This process takes 30 mins.
Until you complete the Initiating web connections process, you can not initiate connections.
This way, it can't be used to boot people off your server(s), nor as a panic button, nor as a way to evade a dedicated attacker. However, it will allow you to take a few days off if that's what you need.
That's perfect, really. Only I don't think you should get a new IP after your vacation mode, otherwise everyone could take a simpel break to change it. You should keep your IP (so it reapeers in the databases it was in) Raistlin: You may be able to change your IP after you return, but than someone can stil remove al of your data, stetting you back days, making the newbies just hate the game and stop.
