one more clarification -> the ip change will sever active connections
im assuming thats virii on your gateway that's installed lose their connnections, whilst the virii you installed on other computers remain active and accessable/operational?
Yes that's right, and all others hackers logged onto your system are booted out.

yes that's correct the target is owned by the higher Spyware in all aspects And no, the lower Spyware will not collect any data / HPD. It will be completely useless until the higher version one is removed.

- Format HDD will also remove all gateway logs - Change Password for gateway will disconnect all remote connections. They can try and crack again then. - Change Password for gateway can not be stopped via remote access - Anti-Spyware AV requirements for default version 0.1 changed from 500 Mhz / 2 Mb RAM => 150 Mhz / 22.5 Mb RAM - you can mark HPD making virii in Software to be skipped when clicking "Collect All"

Maybe change IP and don't hack as a temporary solution...
Someone could still buy the IP off the software dealer, but that's a long shot that it could be your new IP... so change IP should be relatively safe.

HP Info Terminal / F.A.Q. / Re: unhide files
|
on: June 26, 2008, 04:11:32 PM

You hid the file, now to see it you have to run the UnHide program you downloaded.
If your UnHide program version is less then the Hide you used, you have to research the UnHider or find a better one before you can see the files again...

Not good if trying it on something that has hundreds or thousands of entries.
But we may make it work to try this on the last 10 log entries, then you could go to next page and delete last 10 and so on...

HP Info Terminal / F.A.Q. / Re: Question about HDD and IP change
|
on: June 26, 2008, 11:43:56 AM

NO, you won't lose any viruses on others, IP change / Format only affects your gateway.
- The format will erase the disk data and replace with the standard software you start with. - The IP change will sever active connections, delete all virii on your gateway and others will not have you anymore on their IP Database.
When you complete the format, downloads / uploads and the other external tasks are killed without any log entry. All gateway "Running Software" tasks are also killed.
On IP change only the virii on the server that changed the IP are affected (scrambled, they become useless, dead links).
External virii you have installed on other servers are still operational as you are the one communicating with the software, so they are not linked in any way to your IP.

HP Info Terminal / News & Updates / Mark / Un Mark missions
|
on: June 26, 2008, 01:49:21 AM
|
- You can now sort your missions better so you know the ones that are in progress - You can mark a mission in the Mission Data. The mission will be moved to mark missions category so you can complete / review later
- this is really useful when starting a delete file process, you can move the mission to maked area so you know what missions you already started and focus on the other left missions.

HP Info Terminal / F.A.Q. / Re: Bouncing?
|
on: June 25, 2008, 10:04:50 PM
|
Whenever you bounce you leave two log entries:
- One log entry on the server you bounced off - One log entry on the server you bounced onto - both entries and all the entries of the bounce will retain their Data / Time unchanged, so other may track the bounce logs by Date / Time - The first bounce node (your gateway) will have a special log entry like "Origin proxy connection to [IP] established"
- the bounce nodes have something like "Proxy connection from [X] to [Y]". One has to track each X until the Origin log is reached.

Name Min version Max version Price (HPD) Kiddie cracker IP 0.1 0.11 10
The targets you get are random and they could be players of public servers. The version is the min / max software version on the server.

HP Info Terminal / News & Updates / Format HDD
|
on: June 25, 2008, 01:21:05 PM
|
To format the gateway HDD does not take CPU / Memory anymore.
- After format, a backup disk from True Light will be used to restore the gateway files to the default basic 0.1 software your gateway comes equipped with.
This combined with the protection against malware (Can not damage hardware below default hardware you start with), counts as a protection for newbie hackers.

HP Info Terminal / F.A.Q. / What to research?
|
on: June 25, 2008, 12:09:05 PM
|
Well, the missions will usually spawn tool files, with some exceptions:
They won't spawn virii files, so if you want to improve the virii after you download the default 0.1 version from the True Light repository, it's good if you can invest some research into it.
However, great care should be taken with virii, you should hide it well on the gateway or use a Secure FTP to store your virii, or you may find yourself with your own virii installed upon your gateway if someone hacked you.
Research Firewall Protect / Password Protect, they won't spawn in mission BUT you may download a higher version from the Public FTP of some secret mega-corporation servers. Still, it's a very good investment to research those.
