yea man, it looks pretty sweet. i would have to agree with Araeus though. it seems like it takes a tad bit too long, but like he said. i have no idea how hard it would be to do some of the changes he suggested.. otherwise sweet job man

Edit: ah, well thats pretty cool for just learning,  5

well... congrats to vashied, the first person, as far as I can see, that purchased a second server. heh, now i wonder if that's because he saved up for it, or if he just makes that much money now....  laugh

lol, the same way just about everyone has mysteriously jumped up in the ranks. I found a program, lol. still doing the delete missions too... it sucks only being able to do a couple at a time for right now... oh well... soon we will all look at the money we hold so dear now, and think... "i can make twice that in 5 minutes from my viruses", lol

and yea, power doesn't mean too much right now... which is why i posted that while i could... patted myself on the back, and went back to the deletes, heh. cause i know when i wake up in the morning... i'll be lucky to be in the top 30

It wouldnt have mattered if you had downloaded it or not. And it could have been someone that renamed their server as a secret server. Did it have a bulletin board?

And the reason it wouldnt have mattered, as previously stated, is that the 2.452 Revs take about 1 week to disinfect.. or some incredibly lengthy time.

M1SF has haid who works with in the IRC channels...

What? lol, either I just don't understand that... or you may need to reword that a bit.

And I think RaiseCain was being a bit sarcastic about the him accomplishing it on his own. although it is possible for one person to do it on their own, they would just have to have multiple accounts.

interesting choice of words, =P

m1sf17 is a tool... a valuable one... but a tool none the less?  laugh
i only bring this up.. because he didn't say ally or friend... or crazy kid in the corner... but tool... in his, not their, but his conquest of the game.

It does seem like he is lying... or at least not telling the whole truth. But then again, how can you judge such things over the internet. You can't, lol

As for HZT... seem's almost forged.... but the same thing said above goes for this as well.

Finally... all it would take is for one or two of the revs to be installed, lol. Also, from HZT's nice little server (if it is actually his and not someone else covering their tracks using HZT as a cover) is that he is a gold member. So he at least can obtain the 5000 AP needed. Of course we now must wonder how many of the other servers are his. And if he just named them all different things to give an appearance of strength and impending doom, when in fact he may be far from it. Possibly hoping to enlist people by making them think, "If we're so close, I want to help push it over the edge." But... yet again, this is all just speculation.

After seeing the above post:
What does Jake being on his knees have to do with anything?  laugh

Heh, he may be banking on all of the people that now have 2.452 Rev to all install them together... seeing as he can have at a maximum 1 (assuming he doesnt have multi's working in coordination...)
25  General Category / HP History / Re: Zombie-Fest. on: November 12, 2008, 12:37:46 AM
Well... even if some people have been... less... then polite, the point should still have gotten across. I say this only because if quite a few people came up to me and told me they didn't like the way I dressed, even if they swore at me, I would probably start to think that I should look for some better clothes, lol. And not everyone was rude, I would say maybe... 4 of the people were rude.

As for some of the topics that I know of:

http://www.hacker-project.com/forum/index.php?topic=732.0

Maybe not a staggering amount of people against it in that one, but there are traces of it throughout the forum. Ironic it was sent to the trash.. but oh well. 14

Not to mention this thread :

http://www.hacker-project.com/forum/index.php?topic=726.0

Which has quite a few comments made against the resets. And we also started off rather politely... but as time went on frustrations grew, etc. etc.

EDIT: On a side note ==> We're up to five Rev servers now, I guess 3 if you don't count Ebolla's or HZT's(maybe HJ's?). And almost all of them have ver 2.452 Rev,  4
172.202    The End Is Nearer Than You Think    2.452    No

   225.137    Ebolla's Dedicated Server    2.452    No

2.84           Nuke Them From Orbit    2.452    No

My main problem with the round restarting, as has been stated in one form or another by many others, is that I've put quite a bit of time into this particular round. Obviously not as much as others, but enough that I don't want to see it all wash away. Also, I have a feeling that with later rounds, it will only be a rat race to who can run 10 Rev's first and cause the reset, therefore cashing in on the prize money (assuming of course that the people that run the Rev's are in the top 10).

When the reset happens... I probably will keep playing, mainly because I am easily distracted from work I should be doing,  laugh. But I think that the power that has been amassed in this round, will never be matched again, as well as the software versions, due to the restarts probably happening quicker and also because of the research nerf. So.. I probably won't get as much enjoyment from the later rounds as I did from this one, but oh well. That's just my opinion.

well... now the only 2 left are Ebolla's and SoSN's Rev viruses,  13
28  General Category / HP History / Re: e#single/doubledigits on: November 02, 2008, 06:53:40 PM
And because it was a vicious world at the beginning, lol.

As it will be again if it resets... well... maybe not quite as brutal, but pretty close as people rush for power

It could be a classic case of a Mexican Standoff... They just don't want to put their guns down before everyone else does it as well.

But it has been awhile since we heard from them...
