Hey I recycle the last 6 (only because they don't allow the last 6 to be used)... Then I post the password on my monitor for everyone in my group to see.
I admire the attempt at provide protection. But trying to remember a new password every couple of weeks and on top of that all the other systems I use (which I have a password safe for) becomes a nightmare.
brok - an easy thing to do with companies like this is - pick one of your fave words lets say hack - then on the first of every month change it thus hackjanuary hackfebruary hackmarch hackapril that will give you 12 passwords that are easy to remember without the need to postit on ya monitor.

emi - i converted the old code into the new one however i'm getting results below what alpha suggests
based on researching a v0.1 for 168 hours x 32 processes - can you see where the old formula is going wrong ?
1: v1.0996 2: v2.015234 3: v2.853954 4: v3.622222 5: v4.325955 6: v4.970575 7: v5.561047 8: v6.101919 9: v6.597358 10: v7.05118 11: v7.466881 12: v7.847663 13: v8.196459 14: v8.515956 15: v8.808616 16: v9.076692 17: v9.32225 18: v9.547181 19: v9.753218 20: v9.941948 21: v10.114824 22: v10.282824 23: v10.450824 24: v10.618824 25: v10.786824 26: v10.954824 27: v11.122824 28: v11.290824 29: v11.458824 30: v11.626824 31: v11.794824 32: v11.962824
alpha says he ended up with a V 15.3228
for those breaking into my server for the next 76 hours - please leave this research alone.

But I'm already in the top 50...
lol alpha got busted by a new player - (no offence implied at Zyzzyx) @zyzzyx - as for groups - pick you own group - dont accept invites from those chomping at the bit for new members, think to yourself why they have free spaces available, learn about how they operate see if it fits in with your playstyle. some groups dont visit the forums or if they do dont read every post. if your a good player chances are most groups will be looking to recruit you as soon as you start hitting their radars. either play the waiting game or join a group - just remember some groups wont accept you if you have been in a previous group. at the end of the day - have fun and happy hacking.

- Virus activation when lauched by localhost can now be killed. e.g. Robber Baron virus install launched by localhost, or any other virus install, except Rev.
So are you saying that my 300+ hour barron install can be killed now?
indeed he is - the baron in any form has just been rendered fubared.

- some Localhost processes could not be killied, prohibiting PvP: delete file, encrypt, decrypt, etc. These localhost processes can now be killed by a remote host.
- Virus activation when lauched by localhost can now be killed. e.g. Robber Baron virus install launched by localhost, or any other virus install, except Rev.
- Virus activation launched via remote access has to be killed on the origin gateway. Exception, localhost can kill an activation attempt on it.
- Revelation activation process can only be killed if done by a remote host on the origin host! - If activated on localhost, the Revelation can only be stopped by the owner, or when task expires.
so glad i've quit, yet another post that makes no sense whatsoever

Once in a very long time, early one morning Exousia noticed alpha's raging man-hood was not stopping bontrose from stopping alpha from touching random strangers near their 'special place' then banned Alpha, for no reason except for idiocy and kicking dogs. On that bombshell, Brok's rusty Kitchen utensils and forks smelled like alpha's rotten meat in the hit pron film "fromenty Bontrose", Nobody wanna know why? its no thanks to Anton Bob Borshevski because he owns a noob with a pair of slippers!
What a pretty pink pair (not at all borrowed from alpha ) of boxer shorts, he remarked, stroking bontrose's tiny pecker

Feedback Terminal / Suggestions / Re: Anti-hacker Missions

Should be worth at least two times what they are now so they're worth doing. AFAIK they use the regular HPD for size deletes so like Delete password break 0.95 for 800HPD or whatever should be more like 2000HPD because it's difficult, considering search and destroys are going for like 10k each sometimes, its obvious why there's little PVP... Also different anti-hacker missions Something like, if someone installs a virus on a factionn server a mission may show up against them saying to install the virus he uploaded onto himself for a reward, because noone really profits from viruses on private gateways because they just IP change... Oh yeah PVP missions are coming anyway (eventually ) So i guess blargh Anti-hacker missions ar epointless other than for freely finding private gateways, and most people get rid of them by changing IP anyway with deletes taking 24h + its pointless anyways - while delete times are so high pvp missions are useless.
