What this all boils down to is that the problem is that the first CPU upgrade costs 150 HPD, and the millionth CPU upgrade also costs 150 HPD.

If they got more expensive (via some fancy logarithmic function) it'd make it harder to get way too powerful.

...and actually I am a fan of windows...
Wow, you are indeed a rare breed my friend laugh
Probably a masochist ;-)

the way i saw it :-

add 3-5 extra buttons on the left menu that can be assigned by the user based on preset options

one example could be faction missions
you click it and it instantly clicks missions -> faction. saving you one click

but there are many others that could be used etc....

I think the link "back to missions" at the bottom of the mission details page should, for faction missions, lead back to the faction missions page. Or there could be a second link next to it.
3  Feedback Terminal / Suggestions / ONLINE tag for players on: May 19, 2009, 11:56:03 AM
The player rankings (and other screens) have usernames displayed, and next to them, an ONLINE tag that is either there or not.

This means that it is easy to know when to attack another player: wait until the ONLINE tag disappears.

The problem is, it is trivial to make it display all the time (for some players, it is).

What do you think, would it be better to not display the ONLINE tag at all anymore?

Maybe you should go back to here:.

and re-examine the evidence.     bodyguard

My client is innocent, your honor. The crime must have been perpetrated by some Gold member who changed his server name and description to match my client's, framing him.

Also, according to the statute of limitations, the crime has taken place in an older round, and is no longer valid. I request this case to be dismissed, your honor.

Hmm .. could it be that it is he who hacked me yesterday killing all my missions?  bodyguard

I most certainly did not. I guess I'm going to have to get a lawyer in here...

Ah ha....A group to target....the more the merrier...See ya soon!!!   bodyguard

What did I ever do to you? You seem convinced that I did something to you last round. In reality, it was some Gold member who changed his server name and description to masquerade as me, so I get the blame for his actions!  2

(edit: quote tunnels don't work)

(edit:) About half of my group's members are total noobs who wouldn't know Linux the Operating System from Linux the laundry detergent, or so it seems. (And yes, there are pictures on the intarwebs of Linux laundry detergent.)

My group is called Linux, and I'd like it if some more Linux users would join. Together we can defeat the windbags :-)

Anyway, the goal is to have fun, and share tips and strategies, files, and so forth.

I use Ubuntu, by the way. I've used various distros over the past decade or so, and this one is just so easy to set up, and stuff just works. Take that,  12 (Red Hat) :-)

I think our group should remain members of the True Light faction, because its anti-corporatism aligns with the original Linux spirit. Of course, lots of mega-corporations nowadays run Linux, so this is open for debate.

You can do that already via Virii.  Let them install virii on your system and when they have gotten the amount agreed upon disinfect it.

As he said, that's the only way you'll get the HPD out, sorry.

I don't mean transfering out of the group fund, i mean transferring from MY personal HPD account to someone in the same group. It's always a feature in groups, and imo, its just not the same without it.

It also enables "pushing" abuse, in which lots of group members contribute lots of HPD to one player, who can then grow much faster and become very powerful.

Besides, you can already give resources to other players, it's called filesharing.
