Let's see... I complained about it in OG forums at: 09-Oct-2009 12:56:37
If I recall the perp logged in originally at ~3am and then again at ~10am. None of the virii were successfully installed at 12:56 when I killed them all, so I think they came back to finish any downloads done the first time and then decided to start installing the virii.

Bontrose. When it comes to the Commodore computers, watch what you say Those of us who have had one, grew and learned on them have very fond memories. No other machine before or since has provided the nostalgia than talking with those who had a Commodore. Load "*" ,8,1 BTW, once I found (can't remember the player) the Commodore 64 Firewall V64.x I hacked him until I was successful at downloading the file --even though I already had a Firewall larger than that! Just the name caught my attention.

This sounds very interesting. I like the idea of leveled players. It would allow the newbies more of a gradual approach to game pvp and learning when they only have to worry about a couple of things instead of the whole world being presented to them after upping their bandwidth to 11 I like the idea of tying it to factions missions as well. They would have to complete a certain number of missions of each type (we need more missions types BTW ) before they can advance to the next level... Requirements to advance should be something that has to be worked towards, not something that could be completed in a week of hard play.

I still blame Dev Null... As he has done this to me in the past and has admitted to it then as well.
Killed all research, killed my Virii activation and then attempted to install virii on my system himself.

No. Rootkit doesn't work on player servers or secret servers. It only works on the Unlisted servers and only if you have the mission for it.

Don't know about you, but I'm still using a MOS Technology 6510 chip operating at a screaming 1.02 MHz. It is much better than the silly 'ol 6502 used in the older systems!
I won't even point out that the 8088, even though operating at up to 10 mhz was a much weaker unit than the 6510.

Also doesn't it take into account when people start dropping virii on them? I thought I read somewhere where they don't try to start the reset until a certain % is filled up with virii on the specific server. It could just be because someone or some group (i.e. -lx-) decided to pump out a massive uploading of virii. I was thinking the other day it would be cool if after you've disinfected all virii on a server it would stop the reset from happening. The admins would decide that the servers are clean and not need to do a reset.

I've done that before, but not in the last 700 hours or so... Was thinking about dumping some spyware on the incomplete disinfects but didn't have the energy... or AP. But you are right... There definitely is tons of free servers out there right now. The mass reboot of secret servers happened again this last week. I lost a good half of my secret server IP list -- and I'm pretty sure I had nearly all of them found.

why is it so quiet in this forum when we have so many idiots who post then feed the trolls their heads then they post pointless pieces privately while playing piano perfectly and falling from the silence of the lambs where anthony smells jodie's freshly squeezed orange juice made from pure Florida squeezed alligator harvested intestines

of course you have to have several hundered gb of hard drives to make those
Nope, only 92 GB. You research it and once complete your harddrive will look something like 1362/92 1480.4% filled. Just can not download anything new onto that machine until you buy more space. But then you don't need to worry about someone trying to dump a spyware overtop of the robber virus.
