that would be nice but some people are(were?) trying to get th ip dealer removed
btw it is so quiet because every time someone had an idea another person would bash it or yell at them
I'm a big proponent of it being removed. On the otherhand, if it isn't removed adding the name of server and Alpha's idea would be nice as well. |

How about personal faction abilities are removed and instead you have group faction abilities.  What about your own research projects? What ever your group has, you get to use. Let's say that the group has a 20% Unhide that is also what you get as well (as long as you are part of that group). The downside, of course, is that the cost to increase the group ability is higher... (5 x current?) Upside, is that newer members would get benefit of group ability and the group would start working towards a common goal. |

How would it kill the baron? Right now it takes 52 hours per .1 to install a baron and 5 hours per .1 to disinfect it.
If as Glitch proposes it would make the baron easier to install and fall inline with the other virii.
Barons would still be the preferred install method as it would take longer per .1 to disinfect.
I still think this idea deserves merit. Especially if missions were created against the virii and the disinfect times are reduced dramatically. In addition, removing the bandwidth being tied up by the virii it would allow others better access to hack the servers and install spyware and their own virii.

Yeah I just wondering what are we going to encrypt? On what type of server? What is the reward? Things like that. Perhaps we could have new unlisted servers spawn, and you have to encrypt the OS files on them (There would have to be a cap on the level of encryption on unlisted servers (Say, 1.0-2.5 higher than the OS file itself)...Then the server can change IP when you collect the reward, and a decrypt mission is then spawned for that same server. That would be cool. Then it would force us to have several different versions lying around in order to complete different missions. Plus, it would be a reason for the encrypted files to be there. |

Tested: Yes, you can be attacked by rev while in vacation mode. Thanks Ivan/Liberty Belle  I'll be back around for you. Yes, your Malware and baron timers DO STOP while in vacation mode. Your barons on other peoples servers stop as well. Not sure if that was intended. |

I agree, we should be able to downgrade.
I don't think there should be a refund in money. Reason being, is that I could sell all my hardware right now and even the 50% refund mentioned earlier would be well worth the loss to keep my computers from being destroyed by malware or rev.
