But sometimes you can find certain exploits in a browser, for instance and report to the company that will then correct that exploit....
Or am I hallucinating?

Hackers sometimes use their skills to find an exploit in a software or a server and then report to the company that this software/server belongs to.... and receive some funds for their assistance. Like an outside security consultant... that hacks.
I think that if this idea will be introduced into this game we'll have a whole new depth to the game-play.

Any thoughts?

and also another with 0.24 defense.

i downloaded some defense software and i can barely run it in my gateway...

You need 0to understand the the game itself rates the players. also, there could also be diffrent reputations - anti,pro-corporate, player slayer, farmer and more...
