Wahey, an unlikely alliance is forged. HJ and Donn, conversing like real human beings!? INCONCEIVABLE!

This is probably my 4th or 5th post on the subject; GET RID OF THE d**n WORD FILTER.   Seriously, if I wanted to offend you all, I could link in offensive images like crazy, but words are pretty much harmless.

I wait for you to die of radiation poisoning, don a protective suit, and claim the hill.

Heh. What was that quote from Star Wars. . . ?

"It could be worse. . ."

"It's worse."

Nah, but I think this'll actually make things better, Emi seems to be on the case, looking at the code, and hopefully taking out botters. Keep your fingers crossed, people!

Also, when traveling from point A to point D, points B and C could seem like a crappy idea, or misguided, because you don't know what the long-term plan is.

That is true, but I don't think Emi knows what the long term plan is, either. He seems to be playing by ear.

Also, you accidentally quoted me and labeled it as Exousia, fix plz.

Oh, come on, that's not even close to trolling. He makes a point; the bot is freely available.

While I lack the technical expertise to do something like decompile it back into assembly and tweak it from there, I know at least a few people here can, so we have to assume that the bots are getting better. Of course, it could be worse; M1sf17 could've given out the source, heh.
7  General Category / HP History / Re: One Thousand Thank You's For Sir Emi on: December 18, 2008, 06:46:09 PM
It's a new round; all history is moot. HJ, you should stick around, just because I like drama and lulz. You're not as badass, singleminded, or invincible as you think, though. Just sayin'.
8  General Category / Hi. My name is... / Re: Succubus pwnz0rs j00 on: December 18, 2008, 06:37:29 PM
Off topic maybe, but on topic with HP. I've pointed out the same thing and been scoffed at or simply ignored. The idea that Sir Emi is not doing his job seems to be a blind fervor insisted upon by those who want the game to go a certain way NOW. It's kind of funny in that it resembles a pack of toddlers throwing tantrums because their caretaker refuses to give them candy right this moment. It's hard not to get caught up in it, but if one remains calm and talks to Sir Emi rationally, he's quick to reply and to fix bugs. At least that's been my experience anyway, so I have a hard time condemning him and it gets harder with each PM or post I write which he replies to.

I'm not flat out disagreeing, but usually, when we whine at Emi, it's not over changes we DEMAND happen right now, it's over changes he implemented against the will of the majority. I'm just sayin', your analogy is flawed.

Before this goes too far into meta-conversation, I'd like it to be known that this has already been done better than we could ever hope to. Here's the link:

11  General Category / HP History / Re: Hi Newb here. No missions under 15 and no #2 server. What now? on: December 04, 2008, 08:32:12 PM
Also, the mechanics are completely different. No active trace here, no IP change there, no virii generate cash over time there, etc. The only thing that they share is that the games are both based on hacking computers, and that can't be trademarked, as far as I know.

Nice to know you guys agree, but let's move on, shall we? New topic! How about them (regional sports team here)? I hear they're doing much better than (rival sports team here)! Are you guys going to (insert title of big game here)?

Dude, you keep saying that he stole files like it's a bad thing. As far as I'm concerned, the fact that he stole the files makes his accomplishment DOUBLY impressive; much cooler to steal a high file than research it yourself. I'm just sayin'.

Didn't SoTL have a couple Revs installed at one point? I don't really remember, but I'm pretty sure they installed more than one, right? So it isn't a solo act. Somebody who actually bothers remember this needs to remind me what happened :P
