my experience with password break overload is that each x gives you a 1.33 bonus on program version and the cpu and mem will be the x factor so if you x2 the program it will requiere twice as much cpu and mem than it normally use, three times with x3, etc.

just wanted to clarify, the bonus is additive not multipicative

so new version = old version * (1 + (0.33 * (X-1)))
where X is the overload factor

I may have misunderstood the initial post, but I read it as only the public servers get repaired, you can kill any of the many secret servers if you want.

I take it the 10$ is for one year increase. what happens if the gold subs runs out of time before the increase storage? do you loose acces to the secure ftp alltogether?

ap stands for action points, you gain one ap per minute, the +2, -15, etc message you sometimes get its to indicate your ap change since the last time you refreshed the page. you use ap when you do certain actions like cracking a password or activating a virii, check siremi post in the news and update subforums for the complete list

The max number of points you can acumulate is 3000 for regular accounts 5000 for gold, new players start with 3000

I dont know aboyt encrypt/decrypt, but you don't have to unhide a file to use it, you only need to run the unhide on your gateway and then you can upload it.

the donation for hpd is a flawed idea in my opinion, since you can arn hpds playing the game and later you can make several thousand hpds per day its only attractive to someone that is starting and make the newbie phase easier after that there is little incentive to donate thats why prices keep going up.

In most game you donate for something that cant be earn playing the game such points or special priviliges like the ones with the gold account.

so for now and until its changed only newbies or people that want to support the game without exepcting anything in return will donate, regular non newbie players might get the gold package but wont do the donate for hpd thing.

just make sure to take relative small payout missions, if you try to take that nice 400 its likely another player will hack you and kill your process, also get in the habit of bouncing.

True, but since the last segment from the ip seller its 0.5 to inf you are not longer alone in that category there must be dozens of people in that category there now. specially with people being able to download up to 0.67 (for now) firewalls and password protection.

I am not enterily clear what was cracked your bounce server or your gateway, if bounce why wouldnt you unhide be intact and what could you posible have in a bounce server anyway (aside the firewall and password protect).

Its my understanding (but i am not 100% sure) that overloading gives you a 33% increase. He can only overload his 0.2 x2 since an x3 or more would require more cpu that newbie proteccion allows. That means 0.266 so I cant think you are surprised people can crack that, even newer people.

Actually i am not even sure he can overload his bypass and password breaker at the same time. I think a 0.2 bypass needs 160 cpu and a 0.2 password breaker 400 cpu thats 560, for overloading x2  you need 1120 cpu thats more than newbie protection. (I admit i am not 100% sure about this numbers but they feel right)

I guess its posible he has a 0.3 or lower hider already hided. and I admint thats not very newbish but hardly what you would call advanced sutff.

I am not against newbie protection to also check for software levels. but again in my opinion 0.2 its not hat high specially if bought since it means he is only a few days old.

I think one week is too little if we are going to have timed protection I would say 2 weeks.

looking at the information I would say that person is indeed a newbie but a borderline case.

The protections firewall 0.50 and password 0.62 running both at the same time would require 870 cpu. a gateway under newbie protection cant have more than 1050 cpu that leaves  180 free so he can have 1 delete mission or try to run one of his other programs. anyway all newbs can get at least a 0.67 from a secret server, my guess he only uses the prot when is logs at night with no del process running.

What I would like to know is how he got a named 0.5 firewall. only way I can think is buying/downloading a 0.2 and researching 50 hours.

the 0.2 password breaker and bypass are not that high. and i wouldnt say having them makes you not a newbie.

The unhide is obviously bought and 0.3 its bordeline newbie. And considering the use he have for it I am calling it a newbie mistake, he could have found better use for the hpd.

The log undeleter is the only piece of software that i would say its not newbie, my guess he found it on a the secret server he got the 0.23 protection. but just having one semi nice peace of software doesnt make you a newbie in my book.

he would have trouble running his .2 software and maybe 3 or 4 missions assuming he has the max 1050 cpu you didnt show what he has under the hood.

My guess this person is only a couple of days old. he probably donated betewn 15 to 20 dollars for hpd and bough some software.

My question is why would you want to hide his unhider and unlog? what did he did to you? how is he a threat to you? just making life difficult for new players without any gain to you is one of the reasons ap and newbie protection were created on the first place.

i think so, in a non gateway server it takes about one minute per mb. so for 6gb yeah about 100 hours

GS, i think that because the dinamic distribution is based on free bw not total bw. so for example in your case you had 2 dl, each taking 0.1 so you had 17.8 aviable not 18, when you tell it to use 50% it calculates 50% of 17.8 thats 8.9 then when you tell the other one to take the rest it uses the 9.1 left.

Remember you can change your password, sure they will still have your ip and be able to rehack you, but if they are using you as a bounce route frequent change of password probably will discorage them. They are likely to have dozens of newbie ips, most dont change the password and if you force them to waste 10 mins cracking you everyday they might switch to someone else.

An easy way to do this is start the process when you are done for the day and complete it next time you log. that way you will have a new password every day.

One of the bisggest mistake i think most newplayers make and in a way its encoraged by some guides out there, is to download a basic adware virii. if you are starting you are not going to make money with it. in fact the only thing you probably have acomplished by dowloading it its making it so people who hack you dont have to waste time uploading it to your gateway. the 5kb its not just annoying when you want to dl something, its a newbie protection to someone trying to ul virii into your machine.

currently you can filter the ips whaterever they are public, secret, private, owned or admin (if you have admin log priviliges) now with the exeption of admin they are all mutually exclusive conditions so there would be no point to have more than one filter on. But you might want to only see secret servers that you have admin, which you cant do currently. again as you crack most of the servers on your list it doesnt really help you but for us starting or for the private servers where the owners can change the password without changing the ip having the option of selecting both filters at the same time can be useful.
