- when completing a research task, the new file version and resource usage is updated for the remaining research jobs on the same file. This may cause extreme overload of the gateway if there are many research jobs on the same file. A research task can not complete while the system is overloaded. You will get an error when trying to complete a research while your system is overloaded. In order to continue the power research and not lose any tasks, additional hardware may have to be bought from the hardware dealer.

other updates:
- collect all will generate one finance log entry with the total amount collected

So, you gave us a means to start research on multiple files at once easily, only to make it entirely useless?...  Interesting...

Oh well, now with higher-level research impossible, no protects will ever compete with mine.  I thank you for administering an update to solidify supremacy of those on the top, and screw over everyone else.

This change is the kind of change that should be restricted to happening between resets. it makes catching up to higher players impossible without sharing the exact same files they have.

Not exactly the sort of update SGP was looking for.  We still feel that there should be diminishing returns on research.  This will both limit and slow down the progress especially of those in the Top 20 which will in turn allow the GAP to be closed and make things more competitive.

The thing is, it doesn't close the gap...  This makes research slower for everyone, but those in the top 20 are affected least because expensive hardware is now a requirement for high-level research, where it wasn't before.

Let's look at an example:
Before:  Researching a v1000 PW Protect took about 280,000 MHz and 30 days.
Now: - - Researching a v1000 PW Protect takes about 10,000,000 MHz and 183 days (half a year).  It could be finished sooner, but at a higher cost. (In 30 days, 70THz)

Before: Researching a V100 PW Protect for yourself in 10 days would require 70,000 MHz
Now - - Researching a V100 PW Protect for yourself in 10 days would require 1,767,500 MHz
(method used for calculation: 5 * 210 hours + 65 * 240 hours)

This makes lower level players dependent on already existing files, because they no longer can make their own in reasonable timespans.

Upon reflection, I believe I misunderstood. I retract my earlier statement. I've been up for too long.

The more I think about this the more I gotta say Thank you Sir Emi.   You just made it impossible for anyone to challenge SGP in the top 10.   Especially since we have some new members coming in that should allow us to tie up all the top 10 slots.

Not only that but with the new hardware requirements for research it is only the top players who can still research at will.   My alt got hosed by this update but that just goes to show that now it is impossible for younger players to catch up to older players.

Better late than never I guess, even though I've been saying there needs to be something to slow research down for like a hundred years.
