As I don't think it is possible currently to do this I would like to suggest it.
I think that we should be able to copy files we have on our gateway without haveing to redownload or rereaserch it. Now logicly this makes sense because people always make copies of their important files. I don't know how you would calculate time because you wouldn't be using bandwidth.
Because this is a small and quickly thought of suggestion I won't be checking back here.

I've considered but haven't bothered doing this because I have Gold, but is it possible, Seb? Bounce OWN -> Public -> OWN and then upload?

I had my BW turbocharged to 200% capacity in the process, though. lol Was kinda funny, but it worked such that you can use your whole BW to copy the file, so your only limit on this is BW.

you can also bounce directly from yourself to yourself, you do not have to bounce outside... I do not think it is a glitch, I just think it is the way emi lets us copy files easier... anyways, if I am wrong and it is a glitch.. oops....

Thats how i have been copying files on my farm. But there should be a copy action.

Perhaps there's a reason for it being this way instead. I think the "copy" action most people are pushing for is an instantaneous one while this action requires some hardware, as would an actual copy IRL.

You do not need to connect to anywhere or bounce to DL a file.....

Oooh, very clever. He's noticed and basically told us that if you check the box, select "download" from the list of actions near the bottom, and submit the page, you can download from yourself without bouncing out.
