Can I make money by spamming myself? Or is it other players only?

You can make money off of yourself.
It is a known tact to create 'farm' servers specifically for this purpose.

As you usually need hardware and bandwidth do to important stuff (missions, cracking other servers ...) it is better to buy another server (a.k.a. farm as Seb mentioned) and install spam daemons on that server.
A bit of advice:
- don't ever change IP on that server as you will loose all spam daemons and will have to do virus breaking on them to get money again (very time consuming)
- file share viruses brings much more money than spam daemons does. Well worth the hardware costs IMHO.

Why another server? Cos people will try to attack you and they will hack your main computer as you will use that computer to go around other servers and leave IP trace all over. With second server you can use it only for virii and keep that IP moderately safe.
You'll have to change IP on your main computer from time to time when other players will attack you or when you will perform a hack and have to hide. With another server you will not loose all the installed spam or file virii.
