I have no idea what bontrose is saying, but I would like to say that when it takes 1/20th or even 1/100th the time to download the file from a remote server as it does to delete it, I think we have a problem.

Perhaps, but you can always upgrade bw to download faster, while you can not upgrade delete software 1

That's what I'm saying, on localhost you should be able to assign more CPU to delete so it goes faster, but not on remotehost.

I've never seen that suggested before, so either I missed this post or you're mistaken.  The only suggestion I saw that was close was your "locking tasks" suggestions, using more resources to lock the proces....

yeah face it ppl r hypocrites

stupid

ermm Sure bontrose, sorry that pretty much everything that spills out of your mouth sounds like it came from a 14 year old with an IQ of 23...

not to really be mean to your ara, but before someone else types it.... with an iq of 23, you would not be able to talk... even a retarted persons iq is close to 70... but I am sure we all get your point. wich said point is accurate...

Ah, well you barely gloss over it in your suggestion.  Give it some detail, have it make sense.  If you just say "a task uses more resources than normal, and is therefore completed faster" do you want it, twice as fast? Three times? For twice the resources? Four times?

Flesh out your suggestions before you start slinging them around.

Do you want that to be percentages of your total CPU? Because that'll get a bit ridiculous.  I know I don't want to use 5% of my total CPU on one delete... and if I have less than 5% CPU left (which could be a ton of deletes at the current resource requirements) I would only be able to do one delete with any sort of speed...

I think both the BW and this need to be a box where you enter the number of the BW or CPU you would want to use (if this idea was implemented, BW needs to change anyway)
