you should be able to give someone access to your server say in case they need software but you don't want it on your public ftp

Good suggestion, but think bigger .... why not this:

Server owner can enable or disable remote access on his gateway (on each gateway seperately in case he owns more then 1).

If this option is enabled then it will allow someone you've asked to control your gateway to use it as one of his own e.g. also do things only localhost can do (change IP, change password, destroy virii, kill remotehost tasks).

Now for the good part: this can also be exploited by others. All they'd need is a tool to scan a certain IP range for gateways with remote access enabled and there they go.

Extra feature I just thought of: gateway owner can specify IP addresses who he will allow remote access. If someone wants to exploit remote access and he is not in that list then he will have to use password breaker.

Sounds interesting. Would be great to use for those who want their servers watched while they go on vacation and, with Ivan's suggestion, it wouldn't be another god mode situation.

Yeah it'd be nice to be able to give remote admin the same way you can with group servers, I dont see why not, its my gateway i should be able to let who i want in without having to drop my defense.

But only if it's exploitable in some way, else it's just a god mode.

What I mean is that if this feature's only purpose is to allow another player to watch your gateway then it's abusable.

For example: people can give admin rights to a group member in another timezone who will watch the gateway when they're offline. This'll make it only harder to perform PvP actions.
