Not sure how feasable this is, but i for one would like a way to *adjust* the power of my anti-virii programs as it were.

As of current, whilst a v0.3 anti-virii can dis=infect a v0.3 virii, if you only have say, a v0.6 anti-virii you MUST run it at the full program requirements, regardless of virii-level.

This is annoying at the moment because if i wanted to dis-infect two v0.3, i would have to do it one at a time as i don't have a specific v0.3 to counter the virii. I would need to over-kill it with the v0.6, which AFAIK does not grant any time-reduction for using a higher anti-virii software.

My suggestions:

Time for disinfect is relative to program strengths
or
Ability to adjust the power level of the anti-virii program.

Problem with one is that it allows the top players the ability to eat up all the AV missions leaving nothing for the newer players.

You can run multiple instances of the same AV program as long as you have the resources for it.

When I voted for option 1 I thought you meant that it depends on the streangth of the virus and not the AV and that the AV is automatically running on the minimum requirements.

@virus man, hence why i had an option 2: Ability to tone down the program's strength.

you didnt mention your view on that one =P

Heck if I know. Thats why I put a "maybee" in it. But "mayhem" or "my ham" would also work good.

Lol nos xP!

For option one I support that because the higher level AV should cost less time to disinfect but I am happy at their current speed  5

Okay let's see, a problem with option two is that many high level players can just turn down their AVs and completely hog the missions ( just like what virus man said )

so lets just make it more useful to have a higher AV, have it so that it goes quicker instead...... and have the time it takes scaled to the AV virii levels, and have it take, say, half the time for a AV 0.2 to take down a virii 0.1??? or something along those lines.......

no, thats why i brought in option 2.

the *higher level* players will be in teh same boat as everyone else.

It takes the same time to disinfect a virus, mcuh like having more Mhz doesn't mean faster delete times.

besides, AFAIK the top players don't bother with anti-virii missions
