Specificly primary mission.

I decided to use a remote overload to destroy hardware on the target server. Some CPU and Mem were both damaged but I didn't receive pvp points for doing so.

Never once had this problem. You must have done something wrong.

Its primary.

I've tried another remote overload. Completed it, still no pvp points.

Maybe you did just a tiny amount of damage, not enough for even 1 pvp point?

Might. Whats the minimum amount of damage required to get pvp points? (Whats the HPD damage required per pvp point?)

You should get 1 PvP point is worth 35 HPD.

When you destroy some hardware, you get 15% of the destroyed hardware in PvP points.

Example: 100 Mhz CPU is 300 HPD destroyed, and you get 15% of that would be 45 HPD, that's about 1.28 PvP points, and it gets rounded out so if you get less then 0.5 PvP points damage, you won't get any...

So points are distributed per hardware type?

As for calculating the HW damage cost, it is based upon orginal cost or what it cost's you or the person you attacked? (Does the cost calculation take into account gold member discount and/or hardware dealer ability?)

When you do some damage in a PvP mission for PvP points, the total damage in HPD is calculated. The values used are that of the "Hardware dealer", without any bonuses.

So if you destroyed some CPU, HDD, mem, band, those are all calculated and a total HPD destroyed results. Then, 15% of that is calculated and then divided by 35 HPD that is how much 1 PvP point is worth. The amount left is the PvP points you get as reward that you can then convert into bonuses in the reward store.

Hope that explains it.
