Does it not seam like the remote host is more powerful then then the local host. Like if you start a process on your server the remote host can stop it. But if a remote host starts a process on your server then the other remote host cant stop it. Thats why I think there should be a local only program lock. That way the local host can lock the process so only the local host can stop or complete the program or process.

I was thinking that every admin should be able to do whatever they want but its on local/remote and have nothing to do with local. This must theoretically be builtin in the OS or you would need a program for it. I like the idea.

It would be a program. Like encrypter, but the program locked would still be use able and downloadable ad uploadable. But only the local host can start and stop it. It can lock programs and processes. You can only lock process that effects it self, installing a virii on an others server cant be locked.

The way you propose it, it would eliminate an important aspect of this game.

It wouldn't be possible anymore to trace/hack/kill process at someone's computer who is ahead of you in a mission.
Some consider this behaviour as 'not done' but I consider it as just one of the options i have to earn as much money as possible.

I like the idea of locking processes on your gateway, but i would also like to do this on a remotehost. And there should also be a workaround for it.

Yes, I definitely want you to allow me to lock all processes and guarantee success. Especially as, realistically, the first thing that would happen is it would get researched up to 50 or so, and suddenly all my disinfects, deletes, and other goals succeed. With no way for even the people that hack into me to stop me unless they're in the top 1% or better of players. Let's widen the gap! It needs it!

Theraze has a point. Depending on file size, I might be able to run 3 to 6 researches simultaneously. I've seen private servers several times better than mine, which means much more simultaneous research.

So, if this were introduced, SGP could probably get both to v5.x, and be unstoppable. In one day.

3-6? My first research job was 50, I think, and that was before AP was even implemented... -_-
