Ok, i know this sounds stupid, but i intstalled a sniffer on my system to help me see whos hacking me, but when i go into software to check the logs, it says there are none, so its not doing what i wanted it to do, and its taking up valuable resources, so i really want it gone.

I can't find a sniffer anti virus, like you need for any other kind of virus, and i want to know what to do to get rid of it

Spyware Anti-Virus

Dont you think it is a bit weird that you need an antispyware to remove a sniffer :D there should be an anti sniffer ;D

Now that post was a little pointless, like in real life, a sniffer would fall under the category of 'spyware' or even 'data hijacking' as instead of stealing HPD etc, it only steals IP's of connection not running a cloaker, so in my opinion, having to use anti-spyware to disinfect a sniffer is quite logical.

I see both of your points.
1. There should be an AV specifically for all malicious softwares.
2. Spyware AV should be able to disinfect it.

I didnt think of this as an old topic. I usually dont post in old topics (it have happened) but this one was active (because of Sjum) so I posted as usual. I also had a point which I wanted to bring forth in the conversation.
