I honestly dont understand the point of having protection, aside from being easily abusable. Is the limiting people in "protection" from doing anything? I mean,if someone in "protection" simply downloads an AV and starts taking missions, theres no counter? Maybe I misunderstood the CAN/CANNOT DO list, but there seems to be little drawback from staying in protection, gathering IPs on a text, and switching to another account to use them. I think the "protection" should simply be no virii sent, recieved,or captured until out of "protection"-Everything else a new player has is worthless to anyone else. They simply have to do low end missions, learn how to bounce(and use a log deleter) and work toward getting out of protection, where they can use virii to flourish and grow. Too many possible exploits remain having someone unable to be targetted. Letting "new" players run around creating havok is a poor teaching method, and will only create wider gaps in heirarchy. My two cents,if anyone reads anything I write anymore.

What can they possibly disinfect with CPU<1100? A few adware 0.1, two file share 0.1.
That's not really much, and if they manage to disinfect those, what can they do with the HPD?
They have to upgrade at some point past the protection and move on.

Would an IP change be available to them? Can they still use Breaker? Can they start to spam servers with uploads and not have it stopped? Thats only what I thought of in a few minutes. Ive played games where there was "protection",and all it did was serve to infuriate people who wanted revenge for some overlooked misuse.

Master Shake has a good point. I think that if they are being protected, they should not be able to initiate some sort of hostile action against other people while they are protected. With 5 bw it may take a while, but you can just upload adwares and be untouchable to everyone else, but those would be outside of your protection so I'm not worried about that.
Just how high of an AV could you run under 1100 CPU? How high of a breaker? These are the major problems. If they want to try and hack into another player's server and upload an adware more power to them to try... but they will probably be traced and someone will be sitting there waiting for their protection to end...

maybe no private server cracking? otherwise you get booted out of newbie protection, and also a time limit, which ever comes first......... the attacking other players ender, is a very common one because it prevents newbie abuse

How about if the newbies under protection try and attack a privet server, who ever they attack is able to counter attack as much as they want, that way the newbie will kno not mess with anyone's privet server again.

All I will say is read how you can abuse the newbie protection system under Siremi's thread in News and Updates.
I posted a very feasible way to do so.
