i lock you in a fridge freezer, along with a tonne of liquid nitrogen, for a month, and when i get back you are frozen. then i get a hammer and smash you into tiny pieces. then i get a faulty vacuum cleaner, which, after getting rid of all of the pieces, sets on fire, and just to top it off, put a couple of sticks of dynamite next to the fire...
then i employ 10 of the best security guards and bouncers around to protect the hill, and 50 snipers in the surrounding area, and just to finish everything off, for that extra feeling of destructiveness, a 5 mile mine field surrounding the hill, each one linked to the surrounding ones, so that when one goes off it sets off a chain reaction to set them all off...
MY HILL!

you get your wish, but when you conquer the past, you change the future so that you are not in controll, reverting the past to how it should have been in the first place...
i wish the same as before without the loopy thingy

Wouldn't it be more convenient if the IP database page would  not close after pressing "bounce"? This way it would be easier to bounce by more points (eg 20).

You could ofcourse CTRL+click "bounce" and that would work too.

Also good thing would be to add "tick fields" for bouncing use. One could tick all the IP one wants to bounce by and do it all by one click.

This would be very nice indeed :-) Good suggestion!

All those functions could be restricted only for gold user if admins desired that ;)

Everyone should be able to do this. To be honest: without a Gold Account it's already a lot harder to get to the top. Lets not "force" people into getting Gold.

Ofcourse I'm not suggesting that Emi made a mistake by implementing the option to get Gold. I think he deserves rewards for his work.

or just have it in a sidebar on the left
or a dropdown menu 1
also ability to enter multiple ips in connect bar seperated with a + sign eg
0.123.456.789+55.5.555.55+9.8.7.6+1.2.3.4
and bounce to each 1 XD

Maybe, but how often do we actually look at the time/date stamp?  laugh I'm just as guilty as the next guy of not actually paying attention to it.
lol me 2 i ignore it whether i need 2 or not  12

second that, costing perhaps 200hpd, and reduces it by 10% each time?

Perhaps you could qualify me Arthur as I am beyond 1M points.  5

Been thinking about this stuff for days now.
This could give potential to PvP warfare for HP.

How about this:

Denial of Service Malware

1.) You infect a server with DoS viruses.
2.) You activate the viruses and select a target player's IP.
3.) Each activated virus takes 10kbps BW (depends on level) from the host.
4.) Each activated virus will take 10kbps BW (depends on level) of the target player's gateway.
5.) Target player will lose 5% of income that he is gathering from his income-generating viruses.

Notes:
* Viruses from host server will lose 5% income generated per 10kbps lost from DoS malware since its bandwidth is being eaten.
* Upload and activate it in different servers and that makes it DDoS.

Now that's brutal and could stop the income of a top player who doesn't change IP and only log 3 times a day!  5

Solution to being targeted by DoS virus:
1.) Use IP change.
2.) Capture the virus and optionally disable it or kill the BW of another player's gateway.
3.) Disinfect the viruses using Malware Anti-Virus

N00b protection:
1.) Cannot be started on players under 1 month
2.) Or 20Kbps
3.) Or 1,000 Mhz CPU
4.) Or 75,000 RAM

Ways to get out:
1.) New protection type: DDoS F/W: 0.5% chance of blocking a DDoS attack, which increases by 0.01 every 0.1 version, with a cap of 20% (or lower, depends on Emi's oppinion)
2.) 30% chance of DDoS attack working, constant
3.) 'Ghost' override from non-existant server: 5% chance, climbs 0.001% every 1 version, with a 10% cap

thats wot i thaught, limit the b/w, so that everyone has as much chance of getting the r/w as everyone else...
27  Feedback Terminal / Suggestions / Re: Bulletin Board In Game on: March 21, 2009, 07:29:56 AM
second that! and a mission type to 'relay' software from one server to another, by downloading then uploading... this could however be a case of he n00bs will be lost in the dust (like a few of my other ideas :S)
28  Feedback Terminal / Suggestions / Re: Deleting files from own HDD on: March 20, 2009, 11:30:59 AM
update to last: and be able to 'lock' tasks, whereby they can only be killed by the admin, but use triple the resources, halved, plus 1000 (or 10,000 RAM) more resources, eg: if i had a process taking 1000, 100,000 respectively, it would then use up 2500 CPU, 160,000 RAM. This would add an extraordinary twist to PvP, and to downloading/uploading...
29  Feedback Terminal / Suggestions / Re: Bouncing from IP database on: March 19, 2009, 11:56:26 AM
clearly well thaught through... like it!

i agree entirely, and allow password protect on files (similar concept to server admin)
